Time for me to move some of my stock....All the right handed reels are from my "old days" of casting right handed, then switching to left to hold the rod......some of those haven't been used since the mid 70's.

The left handed models are some I used until I started buying Shimano, all of these have the box and directions.....oil is long gone.

Spinning reel is a Spirex 1000, actually have another Spirex 2000....boxes or what they came in for these....

Would love to sell them all at together, all are in great shape, all could be used right now.....

Not interested in trading anything.....have more "stuff" than I need.

Let me know, what you're interested in and $$$$ you'd pay.....not going to "give them away"

Some good looking items you got there.

May I make a suggestion?

It is a bit cumbersome reading the descriptions and moving the scroll bar to look at the pictures. I'm not complaining cause I can't even download a picture but you may get more response if you actually list all the reels as some in the back are hard to make out.

but I'll probably change it later today......have a couple others reels to add........

Bantum 100, Rosewood handles, box, tools, oil, decal.....Orginal owner, but went to "lefty reels".....so its been sitting in a box since 85-86

Bill,

If no one wants the 5001C, I'm interested. Never have too many rods and reels. I have an FS83 or an FS85 spinning rod if you are interested. They are going to eBay next week.

Captain out!

1. Top, 5000...bought new, serial # 760104, change to a hi-speed gear, which you could be in those days......still a great reel, but right handed....caught lot's of steelhead and salmon.

2. middle 5000.....has the old double handles, serial number 740903...not as good as mine but still a hell of a reel.

3. Bottom 5000D....Serial number 750407.....probably as smooth as my 5000 but ohhhhh my did I learn.....how it got its "famous name"...wack, wack, wack

Don't know what's happening....get the "flashing flag" but there is no email.

Think it would work better if you just used your regular email account and sent comments/bids to mine......I will answer

I believe that flashy-flaggy-thingy is probably notification of the Private Message but rather than fart around with that, I'll send an email.

Drifter...nice lookin Shimano 100 "old school". I've got my dad's 100 that he used for a few years until the 250's came out. Then the 100 became mine (still got the box and paperwork also). It's now setting on my curio shelf in my den.

I like your story about casting all the way across the 'nooch...when my old man got his first Bantam 250 shimano (a bootleg one straight from Japan) his first cast was on the Cedar River, and with straight eggs he cast all the way across it...he couldn't believe how smooth it was...especially as compared to the old green 5000D's we used.
