Anyone interested in picking up a new set of sticks? I got a great deal on some caracts so I'm selling my Sawyer 9' wood oars. They have a good tight rope wrap and the rubber stopper rings.

Some of you may have seen a post on the discussion section about my squeaky oars. Turned out it wasn't oars. My oarlocks just needed some oiling.

All offers considered. I'm in Seattle.

Bruce. You can drop me a line at bgray@adobe.com .

They came with a boat I picked up last spring so I don't really know how old they are. As for what type - beyond saying they're 9' wood (Ash, I think) and say Sawyer in blue on the blade and have blue tip protectors and rope wrap with a rubber covering on the handles that can be removed - I don't really know what type they are.

I sanded and put a coat of varnish on them recently.

OK, let's say $125 (or best offer) for the pair.

Outdoor Emporium here in Seattle has the same oars without the tip protectors or doughnuts for about $155 each. I know, Sportco or somewhere else might have them for a few bucks cheaper.

After work today (Friday 10/21) I won't be checking in on the BB again till Monday so if there's anybody who wants to have a look over the weekend, I can be reached at 206-547-1060.

I've tweaked my back so I should be around all weekend. The next two weekends I'll be gone fishing.

Bruce
