what i mean by this, is the government needs to keep their damn hands out of everything and let bad businesses fail, good businesses prosper. Also, buy low, sell high. That doesn't mean sell stoned. Sorry Dewb, I lack impulse control sometimes on internet fishing boards  speaking of sell stoned.....i just got this sh!t called Train wreck....damn its good! I suggest that you double the dosage, then see how things look. Your posts suggest vapor lock syndrome, defiantly double it.

Blaming any specific president, whether Reagan, Clinton, Bush, or Obama is a stupid, chickensh!t point that doesn't do anything to advance serious discussion. There's plenty of blame to go around, both left and right. If people are really serious about discussing the economy, discussion would focus on the cost of the stimulus and bailouts, who will pay both current and future costs, who will benefit, what will happen under various scenarios of public/private works projects, what should or shouldn't be done to realign the economy or economic priorities, and so on..... I'm doing my part. I just bought a new Humminbird 778 and a new Shimano Chronarch 51mg.....

Obama is our president, Our President! Get over it.. he is the president of the US- the leader of the free world, our commandor in chief. Elections are OVER. I have no stomach for those who want him to fail, that is no different to me than saying you want America to fail, you don't, no American does so GET OVER IT!
It would be great if he could talk to wall street like a republican but he can't cause he's a dem, the best he can do is put in place laws that monitor the hell out of them. It would great if he could tell people to have faith, to shop, to buy stock, I would if I thought my country depended on it, what the heck it is only money & freedom is so much more valuable.
Socialism will never work in America, it would only lead to mass crime here, Americans are just not cut out to be socialists. Obama doesn't want to make us socialist, cause it would never work, he is just trying to stretch major losses over a longer period of time, that is all we need, just a little more time. He has Dr. Paul Volcker advising him, Reagan & Clintons guy, if anyone can figure this mess out Volcker is probably the best bet.
Our president has not done anything weird, odd, constraining, or hateful, he is just doing his best to buy us some time, so that we can recover...a little bit of time is all we need. you are wrong, if he succeeds, socialism succeeds. i hope he fails hard so that America can recover. if he succeeds it would mean that his extreme leftist views would succeed...why would i want that?

So what do you call the bankers and wall street investors that took government bail out money?
Nobody forced them to take the money, so how is this the Presidents doing?
You and the rest of these "the socialists are coming", need to pull your heads out of your ass.
The fact is these same bankers and investors who promoted the "fair market" no government regulations, are now at the very trough they once scorned.
