I decided to start this post after reading the music video thread. I think Tom Morrelo of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave is the best, not just today but ever. If you guys have never seen him check this out
DUH- Everybody knows that the Karate Kid is the best guitar player of all time. In this video he beats Steve Vai straight up in a room full of black people. Steve Vai is a member of Cobra Kai, and uses this crazy dancer to shake Daniel-san's nerve, but then the Mr. Miyagis brother from another mother, comes up on stage to play his mouth harp and wards off the crazy dancer. At the end you see Vai is defeated by Daniel-san.
Seriously though, everyone should listen to Ry Cooder, that guy is a quality musician.

That video is totally racist. Did any one notice that the only white people were the musical stars? Just another example of how you americans treat some people as second class citizens. I suppose your defense of the film will be that the jews control Hollywood.

What do Princess Diana and Pink Floyd have in common? Their biggest hit was the wall.

hehe, i've just spent an hour watching every video those kids have on the net. Talk about hero worship, that kid has it bad for Blackmore.
Three observations:
1. That kid is better than Blackmore ever was 2. Charo's great great grand daughter judging this show is.......awesome 3. The #1 highlight of this clip is watching Grandmama Consuelo and Granpapa Pepe doing devil horns and pumping their fists to cheer their grandsons on from the side of the stage !!!

1. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to talk about what makes a guitar player great, regardless of how you personally feel about their style, sound whatever.....how about inspiring a generation of guitar players that have further gone on to inspire even more.
most people know this song but have no idea who sings it...
Ritchie defines neo-classical rock music. No ritchie no yngwie, no randy rhoads... no los gauchos de acero.

When he was younger I liked his song writing and riffs.........but my god he got sloppy and lazy , especially live, later on......I saw him three times with Rainbow in the 80sand his solos were just god awful. He pretty much sleep walked through the shows. I'll focus on him circa Smoke On The Water...yes, that's the Richie I will try to remember......

My good friend's Brother filled in on tour for their percussionist who came down with some serious illness. He told me some stories of some of the parties at Carlos's home on half moon bay. The member got better and returned back with the band.
P.S. Love that FN Herstal, my Glocks are pissed that their getting little play time. Thanks again.

I dunno...I'm pretty sure Jimi Hendrix wanted to be Buddy Guy when he grew up, he just never got to. I saw Buddy Guy this summer and there is no question where Jimi got some inspiration, that old man ripped it apart on stage.

Fuckin A . I am speaking of rock though. Jimi redefined the way guitar is played. And he inspired the careers of so many great players. He deserves his spot.
