Hi Pat,
Is this a true john boat with almost no freeboard, about 3 feet wide, and a square bow or does it have some decent freeboard and a bit more beam? What size outboard can you use on it? My little one is a 6hp, and I have a 27 lb thrust trolling motor. Is the wood transom piece where the kicker bracket fits? Would replacing it be a project where someone with okay woodworking skills could get it done in an hour or so? "My dad has an ultimate set of tools!", actually I do. Sorry for all of the questions, but the boat and the price sounds right.
By the way, how goes the wedding plans?

I just got off of the Lowe boats website. Is your boat comparable to one of theirs? Go to ask.com and do a search for jon boats, the Lowe site will pop up. Andy

When and where can we meet to trade cash for boat? I will be in Tacoma tomorrow for a meeting from 10am-12pm. I could run up there to close the deal after that. Are there any other issues with the boat, other than the transom, that I should be aware of? Andy

Spike? You out there somewhere? Sent numerous e-mails to see if you have sold the boat with no response. Got my $600 tax rebate check today and cash is burning a hole in my pocket. I can only hide it only so long, from my wife.

SOLD! To me. Nice little boat, Pat. Just what I was looking for! Cleaned up real well and spent about $100 on stuff to fix it up a bit. New rod holders, anchor mount, anchor, transom wood, epoxy(for transom wood), a handfull of stainless screws, and enough paint for a lovely dark olive drab paint job. Let me know about future Sekiu trips, I will be going a lot. Andy
