Red Mill. Their bacon cheeseburger rules. When you order look back at the grill. The pile of bacon at 11:30am is three feet high.

I live 2 blocks from the Wallingford Dicks. I've been here 13 years. I'm also downwind from them. The boy loves them but they've lost their appeal to me!

Anyone in PA who thinks Frugal's is good, needs to drive to Sequim and try Tootsie's. I love my Frugal burger, but Tootsie's is a step up.

+1 for Fat Smittys. Those burgers are the perfect way to return to civilization after a backpacking trip. Red Mill gets an honorable mention and it is much closer.

one of my favorites has to be the shell station in castle rock. $5(was $4 until about 6 months ago) gets you a big greasy cheeseburger, a good sized sack of fries and a drink, and it's all made to order. their bacon doubles are killer, too.

I finally had a "Fatburger" burger in Vancouver a couple of months ago and it was damn good for a chain.

I had a Whopper in an Amsterdam Burger King that tasted as good as any burger I've ever eaten. smile It was great, I was all by myself in my own little piece of heaven. Then, I looked over to my right and saw an American couple in their mid-30's. The husband's eyes and general look indicated that perhaps the Amsterdam "produce" had been a little over-the-top for him. He took an enormous bite of his burger and, with his mouth totally full, looked at his wife and said, "This is SOOOOOO good!". I knew EXACTLY what he was talking about. rofl

There are two Crazy Erics left. One is in Belfair on Hwy 3 and one is in West Bremerton, right off National Ave.

Paper bag full of really greasy french fries is one of their trademarks and just thinking about it makes my gall bladder hurt.

There was a place down in Sonoma County, CA called Ingram's Chili Bowl. The El Dorado was an open faced cheeseburger (double burger on request) smothered in their famous chili along with a heaping side of hashbrowns, also covered with chili. I don't know if I should smile or puke thinking about it.

Had something similar in a burger joint in Pasadena. It was supposedly "famous" or "infamous" and I have long since forgotten the name. They served up some form of burger type thing smothered with chili. It was good, if not an instant form of heart burn and bad gas. The 34 beers the night before and during the game didn't help (or hurt too bad) either. beer Gotta love a Rose Beer!

Ah, back in the GOOD old days when the Huskies actually made it to the Rose Bowl.

Guess I won't be going there any time soon. frown

There's also the "Fifty Niner Diner" on Hwy 2 by the Lk Wenatchee cutoff.

Squirrel tree ain't bad after spending a week in the high country.

Dang - you could take a burger and fishin' road trip with the places named on this thread.

Lynn's Caboose? Somebody been sneaking in my backyard and checking out my wife? She does indeed make a tasty burger.

I didn't see the Three River's Riverburger mentioned. I haven't had one in awhile so they may not as good as they used to be but they hit the spot after beating thru the brush bank fishing out at that end of the street.

Still there. It closed for a little while, but has been re-opened for multiple years. I heard the owners "took it back" from who ever was trying to buy it. Driven by it my whole life and I've never stopped there.

Maybe I'll go have a Zips for ya Timber. I'm in Ritzville working today.

Best burger? Seens as I am late to the party....

1. I am going with Billy's in Aberdeen. It's right over the bridge if you were coming back from Westport. Blue cheese burger is awesome. Plus I don't have to drink some crap fountain drink and can have a beer.

2. A hot Dick's (usually with cheese) Wipe that smirk off your face! it's a hamburger for God's sake!

3. Carl Jr's- probably only because I've only had it a few times.

There's a Connoco or 76 station in Yakima that has a little burger joint called Smitty's. Best burgers I've had. Either the Paul Bunyan or Logger burger. Good stuff.

Frugals is ok, Red Mill is better.

Went and had Lynne's Caboose (hehe, that sounds funny rofl). Not bad. I 've had better though. I had the big bacon burger that was recommended here. The fries were pretty good though. Not everyplace that you get steak fries with a burger. What you get for the price though... I'll go to McD's or Jack n' the Crack.

Stam, I spent a week in Los Barrilles before and after our beach wedding in Cabo....damn, almost a decade ago now...... I even caught an octopus from the shore. Ahhhhhhh...................good times.

Have fun with Robbo ....... I just missed him Saturday after his show ..... I gotta pick your brain about Panama. Later bro! smile

Here is another one for the pallet to salavate on. Rocky's diner in Boise. There are two of them. One is an old school drive-in diner with the waitresses on roller skates and the works. I think it is called the Johnny B. Good burger if I remember right. Eat the whole thing in under a half hour and you get it free. Pretty mucha plate sized burger. I only know one guy that has done it and have yet to attempt it myself. You also get your name on the wall of fame.

I've been waiting for someone to bring Effies into the picture..I had my first "Effies" burger back in 1983 while in college and in Lewiston playing in a baseball tourney..I now have family that lives there and every now and then we sneak out and have an "Effies" cheeseburger while in town visiting..

New favorite burger joint is the Duvall Grill.

Went in last night after a family hike to Wallace falls...Had the Blue burger consisting of blue cheese, thick strips of bacon, & blue cheese crumbles.

My Wife had the classic cheeseburger and said it was the best burger she's ever had. Fries are 5 stars too.

Awesome enough of a burger to resurrect this old thread and add Duvall Grill to the list.

nice thread resurection. Im gonna have to go with miners in yak. Went there once, and I still tell stories of its awesomeness.

Another vote for Effie in L-town. A burger with 2 $5 pitchers of amber bock and you won't have to eat for a week.

Also a vote for Ted's in Moscow... which is now closed for business.

I can't eat a whole burger from Effie's in one sitting. It's good, and lots of it, but I guess I'm officially old if I can't put a burger away.

A new take-out option in PA, the 8th street bridges grill. I haven't had frugal burger since this place opened. Call ahead, it takes 10 minutes +
