They are OK, but to me they taste like an off-shoot, or a clone-wannabe of a KidValley Burger. Or, it's the other way around. Either way, both places make a very similar burger. Really, nothing is going to beat an In-N-Out Burger, Animal Style!

+1 for Fat Smittys. Those burgers are the perfect way to return to civilization after a backpacking trip. Red Mill gets an honorable mention and it is much closer.

one of my favorites has to be the shell station in castle rock. $5(was $4 until about 6 months ago) gets you a big greasy cheeseburger, a good sized sack of fries and a drink, and it's all made to order. their bacon doubles are killer, too.

+2 for fat smitty's. Nice stop on the way back. As far as fast food goes it has got to be In "n" out. If the line was not 20 min long it would be even better.

The Tav in Ellensburg on the eastside of the state. Supermotherburgers.
The Bear's Den in McCleary makes a mean burger as well.
Frugals is good.
Dick's Drive-in is good at 2am.

A long time ago as a kid our family use to stop at a place in Sequim called " Crazy Erics " them burgs were HUGE! Does anyone remember that place? locals? There are two Crazy Erics left. One is in Belfair on Hwy 3 and one is in West Bremerton, right off National Ave. Paper bag full of really greasy french fries is one of their trademarks and just thinking about it makes my gall bladder hurt. How be damn !

Dick's Drive-in is good at 2am. My cousin Eric was stabbed and nearly killed at the Tav. He use to be a regular and a drunk and a 6' 9" trouble maker. Got his [censored] together and quit drinking....anyway..their food is good!

Hey Mreyns, how does the Joyce Logger Burger stack up to Frugals? Been 20 years since I ate there, but it gave a Fat Smitty burger a run for it's money!

Dang Chuck. I had to take an Emergency dose of Crestor after watching that! I'm also having sympathetic and imaginary pains in my colon now. 8,000 calories for a Quad-Bypass Burger. I had a friend make the BaconBurger Fatty Melt and said it was THE BEST burger he's EVER eaten.

There was a place down in Sonoma County, CA called Ingram's Chili Bowl. The El Dorado was an open faced cheeseburger (double burger on request) smothered in their famous chili along with a heaping side of hashbrowns, also covered with chili. I don't know if I should smile or puke thinking about it.

There was a place down in Sonoma County, CA called Ingram's Chili Bowl. Had something similar in a burger joint in Pasadena. It was supposedly "famous" or "infamous" and I have long since forgotten the name. They served up some form of burger type thing smothered with chili. It was good, if not an instant form of heart burn and bad gas. The 34 beers the night before and during the game didn't help (or hurt too bad) either. Gotta love a Rose Beer! Ah, back in the GOOD old days when the Huskies actually made it to the Rose Bowl. Guess I won't be going there any time soon.

On the left in PA westbound just after Mickey D's. We engineered a site for "Farknarkles" in Silverdale for the owners of Frugals, but they pulled the plug after a few years, suprsisingly. Now it's a flower shop Another vote: Bob's Burger and Brew in Lynden and Ferndale.....the burgers may not be the best, but damn that Bob sure knows how to pick them servers outta that cattle country up north Bucket always buys when he loses at dice (or his kid), so that affects the quality of the burger too

"I think that place is called the " squirrel tree inn " ?"
I think that's it. Last time was probably 25 years ago and they eventually closed so must have opened again.

Dang - you could take a burger and fishin' road trip with the places named on this thread.
Lynn's Caboose? Somebody been sneaking in my backyard and checking out my wife? She does indeed make a tasty burger.
I didn't see the Three River's Riverburger mentioned. I haven't had one in awhile so they may not as good as they used to be but they hit the spot after beating thru the brush bank fishing out at that end of the street.

I think that's it. Last time was probably 25 years ago and they eventually closed so must have opened again. Still there. It closed for a little while, but has been re-opened for multiple years. I heard the owners "took it back" from who ever was trying to buy it. Driven by it my whole life and I've never stopped there. Maybe I'll go have a Zips for ya Timber. I'm in Ritzville working today.

Hey Marsha, I went to a Chuck E. Cheese once when my sons were young for a friend's b-day party. An absolutely disgusting place. I wanted to punch the freak in the rat outfit.

As has been said, some thing speak for themselves and next month we've been married for 37 years so there's your answer.

And see that it stays that way!

There's a Connoco or 76 station in Yakima that has a little burger joint called Smitty's. Best burgers I've had. Either the Paul Bunyan or Logger burger. Good stuff.
Frugals is ok, Red Mill is better.

Paul Bunyan burger's rock I used to live about 3 blocks from their. And their breakfast to go was a favorite as well. Mf

Went and had Lynne's Caboose (hehe, that sounds funny ). Not bad. I 've had better though. I had the big bacon burger that was recommended here. The fries were pretty good though. Not everyplace that you get steak fries with a burger. What you get for the price though... I'll go to McD's or Jack n' the Crack.

a Dick's Deluxe is always good, but my vote for #1 is the Big Bopper burger at Cool Cats in Lahaina.

I don't think there's a taco in Craig I'd be willing to munch on. Pretty sure the Michelin Man would keep his rubber in the package instead of treading around that town......;(

Knock em dead. I'm there the 23rd.
One more vote for the Miner Tomato burger. Fresh ripe tomatos about Aug 14 on.

I prefer tacos.. something tells me you want to eat the other white meat in that taco................ Stam, I spent a week in Los Barrilles before and after our beach wedding in Cabo....damn, almost a decade ago now...... I caught roosterfish from the beach, mass quantities of dorado and yellowfin, pargo, various other bottomfish...all capped off with a nice fat striped marlin I took on standup gear the day after our nuptials.....I can stil hear the "ka-clunk ka-plunk" of the skinny arse cows' cowbells while they were slowly walking down the dirt road in front of the Hotel Los Barrilles and the wild dogs that would bark at me every morning when we went surf fishing before breakfast. I even caught an octopus from the shore. Ahhhhhhh...................good times. Have fun with Robbo ....... I just missed him Saturday after his show ..... I gotta pick your brain about Panama. Later bro!

Here is another one for the pallet to salavate on. Rocky's diner in Boise. There are two of them. One is an old school drive-in diner with the waitresses on roller skates and the works. I think it is called the Johnny B. Good burger if I remember right. Eat the whole thing in under a half hour and you get it free. Pretty mucha plate sized burger. I only know one guy that has done it and have yet to attempt it myself. You also get your name on the wall of fame.

New favorite burger joint is the Duvall Grill.
Went in last night after a family hike to Wallace falls...Had the Blue burger consisting of blue cheese, thick strips of bacon, & blue cheese crumbles.
My Wife had the classic cheeseburger and said it was the best burger she's ever had. Fries are 5 stars too.
Awesome enough of a burger to resurrect this old thread and add Duvall Grill to the list.
