i just dont get what is wrong with people and thier dogs...i got bit again today, this must be the second time in 3 months, and belive me im carefull....this time i totally love the people and the dogs have never got all over me...i think the one was just over excited and bit my finger...she was totally sorry...i would have cleaned it there but she has 6 dogs and i just wanted to get out of there...i drove down the road and cleaned it another great customers house...

heres the thing...i went to call my boss and let him know it really is not bad, and i had to report it just incase it gets infected, and i find out im not the only person who got bit today!!!!!!!!

what crazy luck...my coworker was bit twice today, crazy thing is is that she told the lady that the dog was going to bite her and asked the woman to hold the dog back, the person refused and said she has never bit anyone and would not hold the dog back...the dog bit her, twice she had to tell the lady to hold the dog back now or she was going to send it Sailing....

how hard is it to step outside for one second to sign for a package? there is such a thing as people being afraid, or cautious....people die in the work place, i hope its not from a dog....stupid people...c

without naming your employer, what do they require from the homeowner in terms of medical records for the dog. Some people dont learn until you sue them. I hope she does.

sweetheart, have you ever thought of packing some heat? say a sawed off 22/250. put in the hind quaters of fido, so you don't get accused of killing the dog.

Bad/stupid owners make for bad pets. Sorry you had to suffer at the hands of bad dog owners. Maybe keep some peanut butter in your delivery truck - put it on a long handled spoon and let the dog go to it. Most dogs will go straight for the food and it would make them harmless for a good 20 minutes

Cheryl, do you wear a uniform? The reason I ask is I know of dogs who were smacked on the head as pups by delivery people for getting too close, and by the time they're adults, they fear people in uniform......

Had a friend in the border patrol get the end of his finger bit off. Not pretty. I think a nice kick in the teeth would work better than dog treats. Tough to know when though.

its weird, i do carry treats, been on the same route for around 6 years, wearing the same uniform, but i do see dogs come and go...its sad when they go...almost like when really good customers move, you wonder about em...

anyway...most of the dogs are trained on my route, they know they are getting treats...i love most of the dogs, only have a coulple im not sure of...and mostly its cause those dogs are usually home alone and more protective...i rarely see the owners of the dogs im weary of...and belive me ive been more jumpy then ever....

i think its cause its so nice out people leave thier front doors open for fresh air the dogs are chilling outside and when we pull in the owners forget the dogs are out...another guy at work today got cornered by three of them...they stuck up on him when he made it to the door...

but really when we normally get bit its cause of stupid owners who are inconciderate and just plan dont care about how others feel, all they care about is getting a package and could care less if we are scared or on edge cause of thier pet...most people usually say "my dog has never bit anyone"....famous last words i guess...

In the mid-70's before leash laws were as common as they are now, a biking riding friend of mine had a croquet mallet that was effective when he was chased by dogs. A shot in the middle of the melon with the mallet would slow the dogs down.

She took him in to be neutered and was so afraid the poor boy would get a complex she had prosthetic nuts put in.

Lovetofish365----Get yourself a Coleman style cooler and put that cooler between you and poochy.... if poochy still tries to get all up in your grill smack him with the cooler. The red or blue coolers work best.
