I just got a 2005 Alumaweld Stryker, I dont like the fish box and would rather have it as storage. Does anyone have any good ideas on patching the hole so I can use it for dry storage?

I just used a boat plug in half of my fish box.

Been working for ten years now!

Cam,
Got a buddy who could weld it shut for cheap...later on down the road if you ever wanted to open it back up you could just punch through the weld...let me know.

A fish box hole. Kinda like a car body hole?

What you will want to do is set up your rod holders on one end, and then let out about 3/4 of a pull of line each. Keep the rod tips low. Getting them to run in the nearly slack water will be tricky.

Oh, wait, you don't mean that kind of plugging.

My bad smile

Coug, Go by McLendons in Woodinville. They have cork and rubber plugs Seems to me they also had freeze plugs.

I think they might have a small quantity of aluminum sheet metal and may have an adhesive to laminate the two pieces.

Exactly what I did but I put mine in from the inside so the
flip down handle of the plug isn't sticking out.

I also put a divider wall in my fish box so I have storage for life jackets on one side and storage for a dead fish or two on the other side!

The pulgs are easy to find.

I've seen them at every marine store,a few sporting goods stores and even Walmart in their limited "marine" section.
