The insulation from UEI,is simply being a valuable employee.
I've no doubt that will stump you yet again,as the premise of being an asset,is lost upon you and your like.

"Getting your goat" is almost always a conscious choice...rarely happens on accident...
Can't speak for everyone, but speaking for myself, I'll never cash in on UEI to the tune of what I've paid in...mainly 'cuz I actually enjoy going to work and earning my keep, unlike many.
That being said, I don't necessarily begrudge it to those who have paid in, and find themselves in a temporary bind...temporary being the second most important part, coming in behind "have paid in"...
Fish on...

REALITY CHECK - Many people are a paycheck or 2 away from being homeless. Then maybe they should have refi'd there house and taken some cash out so they'd have money like everyone else. Err...no...wait...maybe not.

Bluewater, It becomes welfare when we continue to pay it indefinitely. I am not agianst unemployment. But the problem I see is that many people are never going to be able to find a job that pays the same as what they got in the past unless they go back into the same industry. I am simply saying that if the Gov't feels the need to extend benifits beyond the normal time period, it should then start lowering the benefits each month. If you can't find a job that will pay you enough 6 months, maybe you should start considering you need to take a lower paying one. What about after a year? Eighteen months? At some point the benefits are used up and it does become welfare.
