Looking to buy a Sevylor 2-man raft. Needs to be intact, still hold air, and float my butt down a large river in Canadia in a month.

New, these floating death traps are only $40-$60.

If you've got this raft, or something similar that's taking up space in your garage, or you just don't have a need for it any more, let me know.

This is the type of thing I need:

Trust me - I have.

They seem safer than the raft idea......

PS. About Water Polo - Once you put the water wings on the horse, how do you keep it from flipping upside down?

Maybe someone has a partial roll of TP they could sell you too? I'd barely trust a new one, much less a used one. And if you do get a new one, blow it up before hand and let the kids bounce around on it in the living room for a few days. PVC sucks, is prone to manufacturing problems, and deteriorates rapidly. This list price on the link is only $25.99.

If I get up north, can I ho a ride in that thing? wink

On a somewhat related topic, Coley was going off about "Pack Rafts" when I was recently up in AK. Nothing but good reviews from what I've heard. Then again, it is about $900 more than the Sevy.

Hell yes! I'll even row...or at least kick with those cool yellow flippers.

I was going to offer to drive up Stam's raft for him, but he went and sold it on me....

What dates do you need a boat for? Looks like the 2-man tooner I share with Coley might be up there around then?

Possibly passing you on your way out of there, projected travel days in 26-27. I may bag out at the last miniute, depends on some details around the old homestead.

He is a link to the alpacka http://www.alpackaraft.com/store/index.cfm?CategoryID=53&do=list

pretty cool little set up.

Personally think the Sevelor is a waste of money, but if it works for CC and OP it must be ok.

The fact that you can roll them up and stick em' in a back pack for a long hike in to spots that fish better from another side of the river....and for 25 bucks...they fit the bill! In case one pops, buy 2!

Good idea SZ!

Hey Bret, I'll give ya $100 for it. That's $75 more than I really wanted to pay, but for you since you're a good guy, I'd be willing to do that.

Actually, I do wish I could buy it. It is a kick ass raft.

Although, I think with this upcoming shoulder surgery in October, my rowing days are numbered this fall and winter.

I have a shoulder that seems to be getting progressively worse too, but surgery bugs the crap outta me.

I have one of those back backing rafts made by Sevylor. I fished out of it once. It scares me. I almost knifed it and tossed it in the GARBAGE. Parker, if you want it it's yours, still intact and guaranteed to hold air.

Did a bunch of research recently on the Watermaster and it is THE Bomb for lightweight, whitewater quality rafting. The reviews are stellar although it is not cheap at all...the gear capacity is very high and rated for Class 3/4 if I remember right. Parker would definately look better with the waterwings vs. the watermaster though.

Parker, Good, you went with a WM. Hope you recover from your shoulder surgery quickly.

It's yours if you want it. And, I'm not worried at all about getting it back with a few scuffs on it. I tend to use my gear and would hope someone else would put it to good use also. I have the high volume pump you hook up to a car battery but you might want to try and find a small version of the manual K-pump 'cause you do need to top it off with some extra air.

Parker,

Glad to see Winterrun has you covered. I was also gonna' offer to give you my Sevelor that I took backpacking once, or alternatively, let you borrow my Watermaster. Grizzly tho, not the Kodiak. BTW, WM is way mo' betta' on the river than any Sevelor.
