I am looking for a long rod for float fishing. It needs to be fit for a spinning real. If interested I may trade a GL2 Loomis for it if it is good quality and in good condition. beathead

Jimglo, it is my understanding that Kunan did burn down around 1982. They were in Korea, but the rods are very desirable, and darn good rods. I own a couple myself. It might be worth taking a look at. Hope you don't mind the info.

Thanks for the input. I was hoping to trade it for another Loomis or lamiglass. I know these brands and have confidence in them. But I will be willing to look at the rod none the less. I don't think it would hurt.

I don't know your "price point" for this type of rod but Talon (also out of Woodland, Washington) has a whole line of float rods. Well built and designed specificly for this type of fishing. You can get them set up for either a spinning or level wind reel.

At one point the majority of these rods were being shipped to Canada as 'float fishing' is a way of life up there. ... unless you're independently wealthy and can afford to buy massive amounts of replacement terminal gear.

Do you have a phone number and address for the guy in woodland. I live in longview and it is just a hop skip and jump. I am willing to pay a fair price but don't want to have to loose a casting arm.
