As usual, I missed all the drama preceding the boot and deletion of the bloody crime scene....
BS's persona and prose reminded me of one Clete Purcell, a character in James Lee Burke's crime novels. Both are entertaining in their proper fictional context. Neither have a substantive impact in my daily life. The real Stick probably could. I do wish that the real man behind the BS persona could show up somewhat in this venue and share some of his knowledge, stories and spectacular photography from life's unique experiences up north rather than playing the part of an internet, ultramag tough guy.
Stick, you're a big dude. You have big rifles, big fish, big chainsaws, big opinions and maybe even a big heart for those close to you. In real life, I'd bet that you're someone that would be truly appreciated in camp when it comes time to pack out a Yukon moose or add laughter to the midnight howl of a wolf while the campfire make a glass of Pendleton glow like the northern lights. Your also likely a big enough man to privately apologize regardless of the outcome. Until the mods decide to give you another chance or your own forum, I wish *you* the best....
So, far this has been possibly the most, "hit the nail on the head" post, in my opinion. He seems like an ok chap, it's just the comment on every single post that gets a bit redundant. Example..... Member ABC.... "The sky was blue"Stick's response... "I would fair to venture that a pard equivalent of your stature would make a clearly obvious and uneducated forthright commentary. Only when a fellow steps away from his own looking glass can he see the true prismatic reflections that the heavens cast downwards on a rather regular basis. Perhaps when your manhood drops away from it's higher set pouch, down to where it should ride, you can see this. Until then, quit making such trivial commentary to those of us who made the heavens."the end

Finally, This place is also a far cry from I-fish and how it's moderated. That's a big stretch that I don't comprehend, and borderline insulting in itself.

I grew up in a logging camp, and worked as a logger when I got out of high school.
From my perspective Dip Stick is a BS artist and a pot stirrer, kinda amusing at first, but gets old really fast.

...as I grew very tired of deleting tons of his derogatory and insulting posts towards other members. I don't expect all of you to understand because this was mostly invisible to you.
SkyGuy- thanks for pointing out that "we" on this side of the 'puter don't see all the excrement that you mods have to deal with. I've done some of my own rule bending on here as well, but i forgive you for removing the "cake" thread.  And this is the best site on the internets because as has been pointed out, you get to have a personality here - some of us choose to use our real world personality, others not so much. oh, and three pages devoted to BigStick probably has him laffin' all the way to the bank.

Maybe I missed something, but the last I checked, he was not getting paid for being a member on here. Parker, you need to hurry up and get that new camera figured out. I've been on a bunch of different sites that BS was also on. In the past few years,hes done a complete 180. He never used to act like the asshole he does now. He didn't have the million dollar vocabulary,he didn't bash people every chance he got.
He was just a normal dude,that had a lot of killer insight and didn't mind sharing his knowledge.
Somewhere along the way he decided that acting like a douche was a better way to go. Acting like a douche has literally gotten him kicked off every site but his own though.
I think hes got a problem with the whiskey. You could read his posts over the course of an afternoon and watch him start the downward spiral.
Its too bad,he used to be a great addition to any board. Nowdays,hes just a dick.

You know "that guy" when it comes to fishing......... "That guy" is fishing for humpies with a yellow rod and gets all excited at the first boot slimer he catches. Yeah, I'm "that guy" with a camera. When it came to photography, Stick was the guy with the IMX and the Revo Toro fishing for coho wondering how and why the yellow short bus unloaded it's cargo on the river while he was there.  My vote for official PP Photographer goes out to Fishhead5! Come on Doug, show us the goods!!

Gay is running off a guy for taking well needed jabs at sweater wearing L.L. Bean models.
The ones most rubbed raw are the ones who thought pinks were more than swimming cans of Friskies.
Entertaining it is to witness how everybody can defend themselves with keyboards when the big bad bully is banned. However the backlash was for naught when the sparing was available.
Bet all the real pros are glad they will be able to post great pictures of chums here soon without fear of a healthy poke.
Pinks are for cats, Chums for dogs.......I guess they are bragging rights too if your $300 rod rarely gets bent. (Testing the drag too, eh?)
Don't it feel good to be able to hug and love each other again?
The Patsys are safe again. No need for improvement here anymore. Everybody is just fine the way they were made......just like Momy said.

Thinning the strong from the herd never improves the lot as a collective.
How do some people survive on a day to day basis, in the face of "adversity"? The general consensus seems to bring to the conclusion many here must live a dangerous life as tampon salesmen.
Don't like getting goaded? Can't handle a little poke? Either up the quality of the self, or sharpen up the quality of the rebuttal.
