Nothing like a milk shake that contains alcohol.

I've been to the Guiness brewery in Dublin and Mike is right...pure ambrosia.

Here it's not nearly the same.

But I wasn't complaining. A guinness is a meal.

Weak...very weak...even by Irie standards.

Try again.

No... but I did have bangers and mash with soda bread and a cup'a'tea whatever the f.ck that is......it tasted good and seemed to have settled the ol' tummy.

The guys and gals in the Pub were so frickin' nice I didn't pay for one of those Stouts.

The real eye opener was the shower room at the youth hostel the next morning.....I totally wasn't expecting friggin' hot international women showering next to me......

Sounds like a fun trip.

People tend to be a little less uptight about nudity in European countries than in the US. I'm all for that attitude.

When I was in Amsterdam a few years back, we ran into a German couple who were huge F1 fans that saw our shirts we picked up at the GP we just saw down at Spa. They sat down and started buying us Jaeger shots..........lots of them. We kept downing the shots, and they kept buying them while we talked F1. Add to that the other, ahem, items you can find in Amsterdam, and it's a wonder we staggered back to our hotel.

I'd like to see Ireland. Too bad they don't have a GP there.

i traveled from ireland to france in '88 and stayed at my first youth hostel in paris. hit the bathroom/showers first a.m. and the guy in the stall next to me was loud and stinking. went over to the showers, got in, heard the stall door open, and out walks a naked young woman who proceeds to join me in the shower. it was not romantic rofl

Dan----I LOVED Amsterdam...at the time I thought I could be an expat and have at least a few good years left of living along the Canals. smile

The people I met while travelling overseas for several months were diverse and ecclectic and very friendly. Except for the dude trying to steal my passport on a night train in Rome, the hotel clerk that stole my credit card in Greece and accidentally winding up in a mob run whorehouse in Athens the trip went off without a hitch.

I'm glad I did it when I did because now my interests would take me to other destinations in pursuit of fish or game....not split-tail and spliffs....although.............
