I'm having a tough time confirming what the heck Weyerhaeuser's 'Closed Road & Firearm Restriction Area' signage means? Primarily the 'Firearm Restriction Area' portion.
I know it means the road is closed to motorized vehicles as the signage explains that in detail, while allowing walk or bike in access,
but the confusion lies with the message at the bottom of the sign, saying, 'Firearm Restriction Area'.
Well that is all fine and dandy but what does that really mean?
Can I not hunt that area with a modern firearm or muzzleloader? Or is it some kind of intended confusing double-meaning rule, which actually means something other than it's intended title aka WDFW's (non-bouyont lure restriction) ? I still scratch my head on that one... but I did get allot of concussions playing high school ball!
I can across a few of these signs while scouting on the Western portions of GMU 660 Minot Peak this weekend?
Is this essentially a no hunting area? It all seems a bit fuzzy on what the intentions are meant to be and what the rules are in regards to a Weyerhaeuser 'Firearm Restriction area'.
Again this question is for Weyerhaeuser land only.
Thanks,
Lofty
