Obama may or may not be as popular as when he was running for President, but presently only 22.5% of Americans claim to be Republicans.

The poll doesn't ask the right question. There should be " Is Obama making the promised changes fast enough?" That's were the discontent is coming from. The lobbyists are still in control. Maybe someday people will finally come to realize that both parties have there roots in the same stinking septic tank.

three million .... 80%

impressive numbers for a wrong question

I personally don't buy it.....I don't think dissatisfaction is as prominent as portrayed.

That's good news for the GOP.

It means their ranks have doubled since the Bush Administration.

Nice spin. The conservatives never supported Obama so the loss has to come from the moderates and liberals. They voted for him for change which is not happening thus the loss of support.

As soon as he whips out his "free money" card again, they'll all fall in line. The "stimulus" has only just begun. Bring it!

Of course you understand why we are in this "stimulus" mess. If not here is a start:

1) I can vote as many times as I want on that poll.

2) it would make sense that all of the unemployed GOP knuckleheads have nothing better to do than number 1.

80 % is kind of low. At my house it's 100%.

2010 can't come soon enough and 2012 he's gone.

This might be difficult for some of you, but think logically about this for a second...

Any losses in Obama's popularity did not come from a deep seeded right wing hate of anything that runs left of Atilla the Hun...it would have come from the more liberal wing of the Democratic Party.

Why would it come from them? Easy...because he hasn't yet been able to deliver on some campaign promises to them...public option in health care being one of them.

His popularity ratings are not going down because he's become "too liberal"...they've gone down because he's not satisfying the liberal wing of the Dems.

If he gets a public option into the health care reform bill that finally passes, you'll see a lot of it go right back up...the wing nuts who would disapprove even if he personally cured cancer and solved the Middle East peac problems aren't ever coming around...they've given him poor ratings and always will...it's the farther left that is running the disapproval numbers up.

Fish on...

Todd

62% Favor the Public Option:

http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/10/20/politics/politicalhotsheet/entry5401123.shtml

57% Favor the Public Option:

http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20091020-711426.html

76% Favor Public Option for those who can't afford private insurance:

http://www.abcnews.go.com/PollingUnit/Po...tory?id=8863442

Six major polls reviewed, five show support; Nearly 70%, 65%, 82%, 65%, 72%.

http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2009/06/public-support-for-public-option.html

The only one not showing support, not surprisingly, is your favorite, the Rasmussen Report, which shows support at a little over 40%.

Even a plurality of self-named Republicans favor a public option (47% to 42%):

http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/09/poll-even-republican-voters-favor-the-public-option.php

The Washington Indepent Reports that GOP voters prefer public option:

http://washingtonindependent.com/48140/gop-poll-yes-people-want-a-public-option

Shiot, I was even watching Shepard Smith on FauxNews yesterday afternoon, and even he reported that the majority of Americans, GOP and Democrat, favor the public option:

http://tpmlivewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/10/fox-newss-shep-smith.php

I think you're continued reliance on one single poll...the only one out of all the dozens of polls out there...to keep saying that the public does not want the public option is at best misplaced...and at worst, you know it's misplaced and keep saying it, anyway.

Get with the program, Hank...it's OK if you don't like it, just admit that you are, once again, in the minority...perhaps greatly so.

Fish on...

Todd

Does that last post count as "looking around"...?

I'll submit that reading the Rasmussen poll to the exclusion of all others is the defintion of "not looking around"...

You're not purposely avoiding your "public option" make believe, are you?

Either way, those who are being lost are the ones who are on the left and aren't getting what they voted for...not people on the right who already didn't agree with him...

Hank just misses KK... so he's tossin' out an extra large gob o' bait in the hopes he can draw him back in to the mix.

Or... he really IS delusional?

Either way...
