Q. The president's progress with the battered economy has been both praised and criticized. How well are his efforts measuring up with you?
Extremely well. We are undoubtedly moving in the right direction. 9% Fairly well. There's still a long way to go. 9% Not well at all. His plans are hurting more than helping. 80% Not sure/No opinion. 2%

The poll doesn't ask the right question. There should be " Is Obama making the promised changes fast enough?" That's were the discontent is coming from. The lobbyists are still in control. Maybe someday people will finally come to realize that both parties have there roots in the same stinking septic tank.
Nice spin. The conservatives never supported Obama so the loss has to come from the moderates and liberals. They voted for him for change which is not happening thus the loss of support.

This might be difficult for some of you, but think logically about this for a second...
Any losses in Obama's popularity did not come from a deep seeded right wing hate of anything that runs left of Atilla the Hun...it would have come from the more liberal wing of the Democratic Party.
Why would it come from them? Easy...because he hasn't yet been able to deliver on some campaign promises to them...public option in health care being one of them.
His popularity ratings are not going down because he's become "too liberal"...they've gone down because he's not satisfying the liberal wing of the Dems.
If he gets a public option into the health care reform bill that finally passes, you'll see a lot of it go right back up...the wing nuts who would disapprove even if he personally cured cancer and solved the Middle East peac problems aren't ever coming around...they've given him poor ratings and always will...it's the farther left that is running the disapproval numbers up.
Shiot, I was even watching Shepard Smith on FauxNews yesterday afternoon, and even he reported that the majority of Americans, GOP and Democrat, favor the public option:
I think you're continued reliance on one single poll...the only one out of all the dozens of polls out there...to keep saying that the public does not want the public option is at best misplaced...and at worst, you know it's misplaced and keep saying it, anyway.
Get with the program, Hank...it's OK if you don't like it, just admit that you are, once again, in the minority...perhaps greatly so.

You're not purposely avoiding your "public option" make believe, are you?
Either way, those who are being lost are the ones who are on the left and aren't getting what they voted for...not people on the right who already didn't agree with him...
