I have had enough of one particular message board's over use of moderating. I felt like I was trapped under six wet blankets on that site. Got put into "private moderation/no threads or use" for a month cuz I mentioned that if I had a gun I would have gone looking for the dude looking in my downstairs window. Geez, guess you better just let folks do as they please on your property. Anyways, just a rant. This site is waaaaay better in that regard. I am going to make it my main board.

Opinions are expressed freely here, as they should be, so as long as you aren't a complete & utter Tool, Asshole, Dickwad, or blatently showing a track record of stirring the pot until shi.t flies out on all sides. Be respectful, & you'll get along fine.

I'd like to see folks here who have been here a long time and no longer post up reports to start making a little effort again. The best posts are always trip reports with pics and good stories.

I'm a regular viewer on the other board but almost everything I post there gets pulled off after I started checking out PP. I think you guys are a bad influence....and it's good.

People can handle the truth here and think with in the realm of reality. When members of the "other board" are enlightend, so to speak, or don't want to accept something said, moderators jump in. It is nice to know that people can talk without hindrance of complaint on this board.

I was booted from "Brand X Board" (iSuck) because an out of towner posted a thread wanting to know why all the boats anchored in the Columbia had big orange buoys hooked to their anchor lines.

I answered politely and truthfully.

And got the boot for it.

Because EZ Pull isn't a "sponsor."

No pics but hit a nice coho in the upper Sky today. Got another on the middle Sky during a Sultan the Lewis drift on Friday.

You mean you cannot mention a product name unless that product maker is a board sponsor? As in, "I have a Yamaha kicker motor on my boat." You get deleted or warned if Yamaha isn't a sponsor?

I haven't posted or read that site much, so am not familiar with its nuances.

I understand protecting your sponsors, but sometimes useful information for your members slips through the cracks if it's not allowed to be mentioned.

There are a bunch of middle age tools on there that can get away with a lot more than the rest. everybody tries to suck off R&B lures because that is the only spinners co. that sponsors that board. meanwhile I mention rvrfshr and a few other companies and it is ammedietly sensored, wtf! gayrods

That other site is a little over the edge, I have been warned twice, once when quoting another person and using the term Sh#t, yes spelled just like that.

i've been told by many sources that brewer wouldn't last 5 posts before i got the axe. i guess 3rd person talk is heavily against jenny's staunch beliefs.

Brewer, they would love you there. I think you should join, and then we should have pool betting on just how long you will last.

Besides being way over moderated there are also alot of very thin skinned members on that site. I guess that could be said about another fishing site a little closer to home as well. It amazes me how easily some people get there panties in a bind and go crying to moderators.

Dang - been on ifish since Sept 2000 and have never been banned.

I did get chewed on a bit by the moderators when the child molester/pedophile shot himself in the head, everyone was cryin' about it, and I pointed out that the guy slept with his student (he was a middle school teacher), got caught, and shot himself instead of manning up and going to jail because he WAS a child molester and pedophile.

I'm sorry, but I don't care how "likeable" the dude was. The dude slept with a kid and his student. Not only a pedophile, but a TEACHER.

Bastard deserves to be rotting in hell now, not cryed over.....
