there is a new DJ on 101.1 KUFO in Portland named Ricker. Apparently he was some big deal in Seattle. I am leaning toward the he's a dumb ass opinion. Should I give him some more time.

Also a guy by the name on Kid Chris, he has been fairly funny

I just lost some respect for him, listened to him for years during my lunch break. The mens room in the late afternoon is better anyways, that dude who sounds like Seth Rogen is funnier than chit.

Ricker came off as a tool and might be, but the dude cared about his listeners to a degree some others don't. To each their own. I miss Kathy Faulkner, Damon Stuart and some other dudes that were on the rock many brain cells ago. The cd side show was an excellent way to drift off. I think D. Sturart is on 104.9 now doin a similar new music show. 32 Now started rocking kisw when I was 11. So seen some interesting roads taken and not taken. How is it that there are a zillion radio stations and approximately zero good ones? I haven't found one that I really, really like since KZAM went off the air in 1979. Grew up on KJR and KOL AM rock 'n roll.

I always thought the late 70's and mid 80's were the best for KISW talent wise.
They had a lot of great talent with Steve Slaton, Beau Roberts, Gary Crow, Mike West, John Langan, Robin & John, Bob Hovanes Etc.

Some of the stuff these guys was great.
Anyone remember Leave it to Beaver 1980, Officer Lee Groinman or Capt Hugh Gardon?

Slayton was a pretty cool guy. He came into the East Lake Red Robin in the evenings, maybe once a week, while I was waiting tables and going to school. Pretty decent guy to talk to. Knew his music, sports, and was an overall cool decent dude.

If you could avoid the music and commercials, the T-Man show on 93.3 was a very funny morning show around but he just bailed.

bob rivers was great when he was on KISW, once they went to KZOK he really lost his edge.

i really miss listening to the men's room, not a whole lot of decent radio shows out here in the harbor.
