Wow! Sort of shocking, but then again they probably have interviewed some new GMs and they probably all said they would want to put their own people at HC, so it makes sense.
I feel like Jim got sort of a raw deal. I mean he is coming in on the heels of the Big Show, but really seemed to have lost the team down the stretch.
I hope they make a splash with the next guy, like they did when they got Holmgren. The Hawks have one of the best/richest owners in football, they should be able to get some real talent.

I'd be curious to hear some player reactions.

Yes yes yes yes yes. I know the guy got the short end on following the big H and the team was on the slide but you need to show improvement over a season. No improvement noted and he had no real fire. No red in the face, spitting, screaming moments that could have lit a fire under the boys asses. With a season like we had we should have at least seen 10 or 15 of those. Hope the next guy can get it going.
Any idea who we are looking at. Maybe we could use Chucky. I know the monday night booth wont miss him that bad. Maybe even Billy C after his run so we with the steelers. Just a few thoughts.

Wow, kinda surprising but then again the after game interviews were so passive it was frustrating.
Would be nice to get Chucky, that type of intensity is what the Seahawks need. What the hell has Gruden done that make so many people think he is such a great coach? He took Tony Dungy's team and won a super bowl. He had nothing to do with the way that team was built. After that SB win,Tampa went straight in the shitter. His teams were .500 or worse in 7 of the 11 years he was a head coach. If it wasn't for a 12-4 year in Oakland, and a 12-4 year with Dungy's team,he'd be under .500 as a coach.

I say steal the rest of the USC coaching staff and bring Pete Carroll up to the big leagues. I say bring in Pete Carroll and totally screw up SC! Go Dawgs!

I think they are leaning towards Minnesota's DC. I can't remember his name.

ESPN says Pete Carroll is the Hawks first choice. Carroll says he is interested if he can bring his OC with him.

I think they are leaning towards Minnesota's DC. I can't remember his name. Leslie Frazier is the Vikings DC. He has declined an interview.

Not so sure about Carroll - His Jets career was pretty sad.

Whoever we bring in they need to do some serious work on the O'line. I dont give a damn if we have Manning.....the one that starts with "P" back there, if you cant complete a 3 step drop without someone hanging on your shoulders, you wont throw for much. Same thing with the running game. No hole, no yards. Lets spend some money there and not just a huge contract for our new coach and GM.

He is right at .500 as a coach, but I think he is obtainable and a hellofalot better choice than Mora. I tend to remember his pulling the Raiders up more than I acknowledge him running the Bucks into the ground... my fault. Sure getting Dungee would be great but I question if that is a realistic scenario.
