Obviously chrome fish are the ID problem. A fresh bright chum and a fresh sockeye are a tough call to make. Smell won't help much. Doesn't happen down here much, but other than that it should be pretty easy in a boat or on the bank. Pictures are a different story.

I still say the fish on green drifters post earlier is an atlantic - Nobody else takes the bait I offered. But if you think you are a good fish ID expert take a look.

No question that some pictures can make any fish look like a xxxxx. Doc - No fair posting body parts, as it takes more than a fin to ID the corpse - particularly when you add the mysteryof an intermediate characteristic. Look at how many species this coho turned into...by some pretty good fishermen.

I hope I can put your mind at rest when it comes to the species of my fish Milt. Here is a picture of the whole fish, it's a small 10lb Hoh fall king, nice and bright though for a fall Hoh fish huh?

No question now - Just shows how difficult it can be and how you can convince yourself of just about anything. Odd spots on the head though. Had me wondering.
