yea oneway seems like very decent guy at least on the fishing end. i'd bet that todd has to clean kaykay's fish. or even addicted's wife jennifer has had to clean a few of kaykay's humpys from last summer.

while i appreciate you living by the motto "life is too short to drink cheap wine", there is another agricultural crop from sonoma county that would allow me to cut you out as the middle man. if needed, i will attempt to stifle any hide burning with a peace offering called "sonoma coma"

My house in Elma is still for sale. 30 mins from Oly. It overlooks the river, and is within walking distance on a *pretty* good salmon hole, that you would pretty much have to yourself most of the time (private access only). I have lived there since 2006 winter (finished the house then). I have caught *a few* salmon before/after work down there.

Castinpearls brother in law has been plunking basically right out my back door for the last few weeks, I know they are hooking some steelhead. This is the place for you if you want the real WA experience.

thats a great idea Spike! buy rocketred's place... have your olelady take the transfer job up in woodinville and have her comute the 4 hours twoway to and from work.

Just have her rent an apartment and stay 4 nights a week. I know people who have lived this way for years.

I am suspicious of your house for sale offer after this post. i mean, getting the wife an apartment makes perfect sense, but where are the pictures of the aforementioned fishing holes? is there something you aren't telling me, like bigstick living next door or something? based on the many locations you have to fish up there, it sounds like getting a decent place to call home and then couch surfing all your "new friends" is the way to go!

I have about 100 pictures from that one hole... One night after work, I put my 2 y.o. in the back pack and landed 6 adults (coho/kings) on 7 casts, then walked back for dinner. It was one of those times when you just smile and think "man, I must be living right."

The neighbors seem normal. Some of them are actually pretty cool.

I've been as far as McCleary twice and i thought that was some pretty country - looks like it probably gets better and better out your way!

no offense Rocket, still looking near the seattle area. anyone know about Cottage Lake by Woodinville? there are several attractive homes in that area, including a lakeside home with 4 acres. is the lake itself fishable? and bass do not count as 'fishable'

everthing there looks like down here, maybe that's why we've been looking at that area. a little west of cottage lake is lake leona with some more good looking homes. thanks for the tip on the traffic - it has to be expected when considering jobs that may require commuting.

KK, I'm already in so you wont be keeping all of us Californicators out. However, since I do not live up there full time my neighbor does not call me a neighbor, he calls me an adjacent property owner. Well at least he calls me and lets me know the furnace is functioning. How come no one suggests the island life? They do have commuter ferries don't they? And Mike, make no mistake the 1-5 Corridorin the PNW is every bit as bad as the I-5 corridor in the bay area during the commute hour.

I've experienced it first hand - our driver that picked us up at the airport just about stacked us up when traffic suddenly stopped near downtown. thankfully, we were headed to the hotel, so we changed our shorts before going to dinner.

seattle really is just like SF, it just has better scenery and trees! i really enjoyed visiting seattle, just like i enjoy visiting SF, there are certain things that the metropolis offers that you can't get anywhere else.
