I'm plum tuckered out just reading about playing those fish, after fish, after fish, after fish. Mingo, good job making hard work sound like fun! Or was it fun that sounds like hard work. I couldn't figure it out. Sounds like blue water fishing requires large ice chests to keep plenty of liquids on hand to avoid dehydration. I'm taking notes for my next tropical trip. Thanks for the report!

Wow.

I'm truly glad I didn't go on that trip. My good arm would be broken now and my chicken wing would have fallen off.

Truly epic, Mingo!

Those blue jacks/trevally, whatever they were were just awesome fish to look at. I've caught those little striped tuna suckers before when trolling off the beach in PV and Cabo and they burned my thumb, but that TUNA was awesome. I can't even begin to imagine.

A perfect duet of posts from Stam and Mingo.

I'm going to show this thread to my love. The big 5-0 is this year. Maybe she'll get the hint wink

What a great post Mingus!

With so many cameras snapping away this year I opted instead to get as much video as possible and only pulled out the big Nikon on a couple occasions. It'll take some time to grind thru all the footage and I'll post the "G" rated version just as soon it's up on the Outdoor Line video page. In the meantime...a few photos.

Great numbers of dorado this year in Panama.

Dave Burgeron and Chuck Girtz tag-teamed this 400 plus pound black on week 2 near Isla Montousa. Marlin are so bloody impressive! Check out the distance on his greyhounding jump, at least 20 feet. The marlin covered well over 200 yards in a matter of seconds. Only a small portion of the 3 hour battle with this black. Insane!

Young Mayo was swimming into the wash rocks earlier in the week to retrieve poppers. Pretty sure this marlin didn't phase him.

"Tuna Dog" Del Stephens and Dom with some early morning sushimi near Isla Jicarita. Lots of football yellowfin around this year.

Sometimes it's nice to just sit back and take it all in.

OK...after two weeks away from email and phone there's a huge pile of work waiting for me. Hmmmm...maybe I'll do it tomorrow laugh

rofl rofl I've got a box of hookless soft foam Nerf flies for you little brother.......you can use those next time! rofl Luckily I was born with a hard head......not much on the inside, but a pretty thick skull.... moon

Thanks for the kind words on our reports everyone.............this was one hell of a great time. Ask Stam and Robbo how much sleep we all got.........MAYBE 2 hours a night!

Bucket, sorry you couldn't make this one....I was looking forward to fishing with ya.......next time!

Doc, you are right, "O" is for 'omilu!!! I've shown the trevally shots to a couple Hawaiian friends and they freaked....they just don't see that many trevs of that size over there any more.

We have dozens and dozens more pics that didn't get posted.....and many more that will NEVER get posted on here wink moon................. but I had to add one more............on our last night, after a killer meal, we were all sitting around reminiscing about all the crazy sh!t that happened during the week. Stam was pouring generous glassfulls of Pendleton for everyone. Jose "El Huevos" made a special flan dessert to cap off the great BBQ chicken dinner he made. He walked by and grabbed the bottle from Stam and said "I need to borrow thees for my dessert......thees weel make thees taste especial, muy delicioso!" and he added a nice Pendleton topshot to the flan. We were all completely jacked after a crazy week of nonstop fishing, scenery etc and this was the perfect topper to the last meal of the week........................
