Rich, love the pictures of the Cats..seen one two days ago with a Duck in it's mouth, from about 50 yards. I'm not a believer in Bigfoot but keep trying to prove me wrong.

Cool website. I have always wondered why the bigfoot researchers didn't use more trail cams, and now you are moving in that direction. Makes a lot of sense. Too bad your "Possible bigfoot pictures" trailcam wasn't a video version.
I am not a believer or anything, I'm more of an empirical data kind of guy. But I have respect for people who are passionate about something and it gets you into the woods and mountains so it seems at least that your hobby/passion is worthwhile.
Further, you probably stand a chance of getting on TV because every now and then they have cable shows about bigfoot researchers, and their evidence is not even as convincing as yours. Hopefully your group has smarter individuals than the ones they interview on some of those programs.

Yes there were tracks found in the area on 7/12/09, read the text and it should answer your questions.
Somthing that is not in the text is the fact that I went back and swabed the camera for trace DNA after reviewing the photos. Thats being tested as we speak.
I understand those that have the opinion that this thing does not exist. Before I saw one I thought the same thing.
At this point I would be careful haveing a strong opinion of non-existance on the subject. There is alot of evidence right now pointing in the other direction. Currently some scientists in the private sector are working on a DNA database of these animals to prove that they exist here and in other parts of the world. I know this because our project is working with them. Hopefully we will get a positive result on our sample and be able to contribute.

I would like to believe they are out there, although I think those photos are of a bear, but I could be wrong. Another suggestion would be to place the cameras higher up in a tree, say at about 12 feet or so, pointing down at an angle. Also, cover a camera with a camera. That way if something is right at the camera, the other camera gets a shot of the animal. Here is a shot from one of the cameras I use for security on our property as an example of how higher camera angles look.

I grew up camping & hiking in "Bigfoot Country" of Mt St Helens & Mt Adams.
Matter of fact I met the nephew of the guy who put on the gorilla suit for that 'Patterson Tape' at a logging road kegger.
Which was supposed to be the "definitive evidence" of the existence of Bigfoot.
The definitive evidence of bigfoot was a good-humored logger in a $9.95 gorilla costume and a buddy with a $19.99 Kodak Super 8 home movie camera up on the Toutle with a case of Schmidtties pulling a massive and ever-lasting prank on moronic chumps.
I'd love to hear more from 'believers' on this board so I can know who else on this board is functionally retarded (besides the obvious Spankster, MiKKKelson, RvW, Timber, et al.) for future provocation.
Irie, Hankster is one of the good guy's on this board, even though you don't agree with his politics.

The effort is good but I'm real skeptic about the possible pictures. How is it that you have clear images and full body shots of elk, deer, cats, dogs, and bears at night and day. But, when it comes to sasQ you only have glimpses of hair and blury images that are really close to the camera.
Just a suggestion but you guys need to proof read your text. You say that a camera was set 7/12/09 and you returned on 8/22/09 and got more pictures than expected. Then it says....."As we looked through the photos we saw that on 12/25/09 at approximateley.................................."
Since when does December fall between July and August?

I say hook up a bunch of car batteries to the camera housing and fry the bastard that touches it again. But maybe you'll end up with a huge flash, footprints and drag marks.

I just find it hard to believe a hunter or a naturalist hasn't been able to find the remains of one of these animals. If they exist. I am skeptical, not a disbeliever, but skeptical.

I am no naturalist and have no education in this field, but have spent lots of time hiking and fishing the Olympics and Cascades since the 1950's. The game photos Rich has are great, but no bigfoot. Have seen lots of wildlife but nothing resembling a bigfoot. Heard some stories but I think people will still be trying to prove this bigfoot myth when I am kicking the boards off my coffin!

Not an absolute disbeliever but I've seen pretty much everything that is even rumored to exist in the woods except bigfoot. And, no body or bones have ever been found which is vastly against the odds. At the same time a lot of people claim to have seen one. I'd like to hear Rich describe what he saw. Not for ridicule just for that "whoa that's pretty f'ing weird glad it wasn't me" factor.

I spend a lot of time in the woods in the north Cascades and in the Olympics, and though I haven't ever seen a Bigfoot or one's tracks, I have seen a lot of Bigfoot hunters ![smile smile](/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/smile.gif) rvrfshr gets scared when we see racoons...I can't imagine what he'd do if he saw a Bigfoot. The character Chewy in the movie "Star Wars" was a depiction of a Big Foot as an alien. Just as some will put their hands on the bible and say they have seen a UFO, I suppose it could be that Big Foot may be an alien astronaut. Not too far fetched considering our exploration of space, and how primitive we are as a species. Beings from other worlds may see us as we see Big Foot and would think it's not possible for a beast (us) to exist as compared to themselves. I'm afraid that with all the missiles that we crash onto other worlds, it's not hard to imagine that beings from another world could return them back to sender (us) via returned mail. Hence the "Chicken Little " legacy. Our oldest (older than the Bible) reference to our genesis (Epic's of Gilgamesh), suggests that a creature, or being known as Enkidu, was associated with what was then considered the so called God beings. Enkidu is described as looking and acting a lot like a Big Foot,.... in that it had hair all over, grazed with the animals and drink it's water from a stream as a wild beast. My fascination with this miracle called life, will not allow me to place a limit on the possibilities, as I am witness to the countless stars that are gazing down from the heavens, as grains of beach sand from the incomprehensible vastness of space and time. I recently watched a program that had a segment about a Japanese guy that attempted to make himself invisible, and had limited success. It was done with simple technology. Again, I will maintain an open mind, considering all that has been revealed in my (nano of a second) life time. Hold onto your seats boys and girls, I have the feeling that there are many more surprises in store for us that will make stories and photo's of an actual Big Foot yesterday's news. ![beer beer](/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/beer.gif) My .02

I was in a bar in Willow Creek, Ca on the Trinity back in the '70s. I looked out the window and saw Bigfoot. It was a statue but I swear it moved... ![](http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d63/HunterHarry/t3.jpg)
