Rich, love the pictures of the Cats..seen one two days ago with a Duck in it's mouth, from about 50 yards. I'm not a believer in Bigfoot but keep trying to prove me wrong.

Cool, Rich. From your previous posts, I can tell that you aren't a crackpot, you've spent a lot of time hiking the OP, and that you actually believe that it exists. That, in itself, is intriguing. Thanks for the update.

Like some others, I'm not a believer but I'd love to be proven wrong.

Cool website. I have always wondered why the bigfoot researchers didn't use more trail cams, and now you are moving in that direction. Makes a lot of sense. Too bad your "Possible bigfoot pictures" trailcam wasn't a video version.

I am not a believer or anything, I'm more of an empirical data kind of guy. But I have respect for people who are passionate about something and it gets you into the woods and mountains so it seems at least that your hobby/passion is worthwhile.

Further, you probably stand a chance of getting on TV because every now and then they have cable shows about bigfoot researchers, and their evidence is not even as convincing as yours. Hopefully your group has smarter individuals than the ones they interview on some of those programs.

Yeah, those beef jerky adds are a sobering reminder of what can happen to drunken hicks out in the wilderness.

I think it's a Blacktail, but with the angle the shot was taken at it damn sure does look Whitetail.

a thought on the pics. with the ones of bizzarre fur/hair and blurryness, was there any prints? as in foot prints around the scene? if you had prints and evidence of prints it would seem you have something. how about a 2nd cam taking pics of the 1st cam area. this way if a bigfoots missing around with one cam the other catches the activity. kinda a caught in the act thing.

the bigfoots seem like a gag to me. but when i see of sightings in russia and china and other lands i think it's not a gag.

you ever watch the show monster quest? i can only watch that bogus show when drink is in my hand. guess i watch it alot.... they do big foots stuff on there too.

I grew up camping & hiking in "Bigfoot Country" of Mt St Helens & Mt Adams.

Matter of fact I met the nephew of the guy who put on the gorilla suit for that 'Patterson Tape' at a logging road kegger.

Which was supposed to be the "definitive evidence" of the existence of Bigfoot.

The definitive evidence of bigfoot was a good-humored logger in a $9.95 gorilla costume and a buddy with a $19.99 Kodak Super 8 home movie camera up on the Toutle with a case of Schmidtties pulling a massive and ever-lasting prank on moronic chumps.

Yes there were tracks found in the area on 7/12/09, read the text and it should answer your questions.

Somthing that is not in the text is the fact that I went back and swabed the camera for trace DNA after reviewing the photos. Thats being tested as we speak.

I understand those that have the opinion that this thing does not exist. Before I saw one I thought the same thing.

At this point I would be careful haveing a strong opinion of non-existance on the subject. There is alot of evidence right now pointing in the other direction. Currently some scientists in the private sector are working on a DNA database of these animals to prove that they exist here and in other parts of the world. I know this because our project is working with them. Hopefully we will get a positive result on our sample and be able to contribute.

I would like to believe they are out there, although I think those photos are of a bear, but I could be wrong. Another suggestion would be to place the cameras higher up in a tree, say at about 12 feet or so, pointing down at an angle. Also, cover a camera with a camera. That way if something is right at the camera, the other camera gets a shot of the animal.

Here is a shot from one of the cameras I use for security on our property as an example of how higher camera angles look.
