He does have a softer side too... This song made me listen to more BH a couple years ago.

Thats funny, Buckethead was a student of Paul Gilbert.

Buckethead has surpassed most of the 80 rock gods (at least in a technical sense, his tunes are definitely not for everyone). Not to say that PG and the like are not legends, but I think Buckethead is off the charts... most of what he does is unrehearsed improv as well.

I have never been much on the technical flamboyance of 12 years of classical guitar lessons transferred to distorted electric guitar, give me the honest working mans guitar any day (ala AC/DC, Clutch, SRV, Zakk Wylde, etc.).

AC/DC T Shirts ?

LOL. Oh yeah, you can't name a metal band who's T-shirt these guys don't have. They go to every concert within a 100 mile radius of whichever Motel 6 they are currently living in. One of them had a newer Ford Ranger, once it got repoed, they learned that a permanent residence makes it too easy on the repo-man. Plus, they clean your room at M6. They may not have enough money to make a car or insurance payment, or pay their mom back for something, but they will always find enough dough to see Down, or Bucket Head.

His Colma album is pretty good for some softer stuff.

BH certainly has some good stuff out there, but he's also got some experimental things which can be a bit out there for some. Crime Slunk Scene fits both, as the first half is easy, but the 2nd half is more complex.

Have fun listening!
