· Through the final fishing date of April 18, an estimated 22,928 upriver stock fish have been taken (kept and release mortalities).

· Angler effort in 2010 has been the highest since 2002. The number of kept Chinook in 2010 is a new record, with 29,000 kept, compared to the previous high of 25,700 in 2001.

· The only ongoing recreational fisheries downstream of Bonneville Dam that would potentially contribute additional upriver fish to the management guideline for recreational fisheries are the recreational fisheries in the Select Area sites of Youngs Bay, Blind Slough/Knappa Slough, and Deep River.

Non-Treaty Fishery Summary
· Non-Treaty harvest of upriver stock Chinook to date totals 32,197 fish, compared to 38,500 management guideline.

..I might be wrong here but I think its what would be allowed if the run came in at 470000, at 280000 it was 17K for sports and about 8500 for n/t commercial. Seems like the 40% buffer has been tossed/used before the first run update.

There is 33,000 fish between Bonneville and the Dalles. Does anyone here fish there? Drano not included.

I heard it's been remaining in the 6-9K per day range. Too bad, I hoped for more five-digit days. We really need a big push of 20K per day for a few days or else we're never going to make the 320K we need to keep upriver fisheries open, much less the 470K prediction.

320 is in the bag.

Project in your own mind where the red line is headed, then think about how much area falls under the red line. That gives you an idea of how big this run will be.

Now look at the blue line for comparison. The area underneath it represents 170K.

Like I said 320 is in the bag... EASY!

I agree Doc. The run is building and we will have some high and low number days, but double digit days are in the near future and as long as it holds, this will be a huge run of fish!
