It's going to bother the wingnuts to no end if the economy recovers, especially Hankster. As I pointed out previously, he wanted to let it all fail, so any sort of recovery would pain him greatly.
Let me get this straight. I WANTED to let it all fail because...why? So I could be out of work too? Extended fishing time sounds attractive but it's pretty hard to finance Accurates on the amount of money I'd make on unemployment... Hank, Ya know whats funny? My buddy on unemployment is making $68/mo MORE than my full time salary... go figure. Oh, and I still can't (or ever will be able to) swing Accurates

They dont hate America. They hate the debt of the US Government, which you conveniently float over. Most of the stimulus money is rumored to be spent before the 2012 election.
Maybe you could explain how tax cuts under Bush were for the rich and stimulus funds under B.O. are not going to benefit the rich. We would have to assume less tax burden on the rich would not benefit anyone, if the rich did not spend it. Since when dont the rich spend money? You remember the tax on luxury boats that was reversed after the rich began buying boats off shore and the boat builders here began to fail.
We cleaned up Puget sound nets with stimulus money, but not that many jobs were created and they WILL NOT be sustainable jobs. We have a sector of contractors who rely and lobby for road work.
Politicians like to spend money, faster than private companies and employees can pay for it. Its bad when either party is involved. I just chuckle at the selective memory of liberals, when they do the spending. You know better...
The real sustainable spending in the long run will be reduced thru higher taxes, by the govt to pay down the debt being created right now. As long as politician decide where the money is spent, only their contributors will benefit.

For me, I'll be happy when my house is worth what I paid for it 4 years ago instead of deflating $50,000. Then I'll know the economy has turned around and I'll be able to sell it and get a house on some land. Or does that make me a communist? No offense but don't hold your breath. My guess is you'll be back there in about 10-14 years, or more. Unless of course appetite for mortgage debt becomes attractive again and lending guidelines are loosened back to where they were 4-5 years ago,......highly unlikely but the gov't and the banking industry do seem to have selective memory,......much like KK. That or Ellensburg suddenly becomes the most attractive place to live and work in the state,...see my first statement. Not sure where having the desire to sell your home and motivation to buy something a little bigger with more space fits into being a communist??? In fact, I would say that makes you a capitalist

The incentives are there to prop up current home price levels and thats all they will accomplish IMO. It will take a lot more than tax incentives for values to rise in anything other than an artificial manner. After all, why not give $40k tax breaks then? $50k? Might as well subtract the amount of tax incentive from the purchase price,.....there's your real price. Bottom line is it's temporary. Last report I read stated there is somewhere in the neighborhood of 3yrs worth of inventory on the market today. That doesn't include megabank shadow inventory. Builder index also rising The housing market is a lot of smoke and mirrors right now. Wouldn't be unprecedented for values to remain fairly static for 15-20yrs. I snuck away temporarily and was away cutting firewood most the day to get out of the house. I am warming up the tractor on the back 40 though

Very good points DBA. I've been out of the game for a bit but the impact of FHA can't be ignored.

Your guess is as good as mine. At this point I am not suprised by as much as I was during the middle of the collapse.
The American people have been conditioned for marketplace interference and manipulation and will accept it,.....if you're KK you demand it.
I would expect more of the same with less of the media fan fare.
