How's about some military buddies of the fallen attend the funeral service and if the non-Christian asshats show up to protest, the soldiers remind them that they are present to defend their right to be asshats as well as honor their fallen comrade, and the asshats can do the same or be served some on-site street justice. Might as well make productive use of all that firepower.
