I think your looking at Corps site and I'm looking at FPC which is subtracting the rising jack counts, still good numbers though but tribes have some catching up to do on the catch sharing agreement.

I think he added non tribal S/C catch, tribes need about 15k if what I'm reading is up todate..Then might be a chance to reopen if numbers stay up

194,901+32000(lower river, non-tribal catch of upriver fish)=227,000 It is kind of scary how close we could actually come to the pre-season prediction numbers...especially if you throw in an estimate for how many our large, brown, flippered friends have devoured smile. A very good run no matter what!

Actually, we need to throw the below-Bonne treaty c/s catches in there as well. Not sure how many they've taken so far.... anyone know where that might be published?

Kind of makes you wonder after looking at the graph what this next week will do for numbers, I hope she doesn't follow the same trend......

I think I heard 3000 but could have been wrong in the below Bonneville Tribal Hook and Line. TAC has the run at 350000 now, it needs to hit 380000 for more fishing.

Well believe it or not this was brought up during the compact meeting and the answer was that a portion of the fish wash back and forth between the ladders and in front of the camera giving the impression there's more fish than there really is. what

More of a return to the early run springer days of years past.

Good thing Staff padded the numbers by adding the early Summer Chinook. tired

Fear not. Just more dips and dives folks.

Just because a freight train is slowing down doesn't mean it's out of steam.

Personally I still wouldn't jump in front of this one.

Drawing the best single line thru the backslide off the peak, I suspect we're gonna average 4-5K over the next 5 days plus.

250k springers has been my projection. Mighty close to that we are now. I beieve the extrapolated, mainstem, sport take is bogus in the early season. The upriver fishes held longer in the estuary, marked by the encounter rate in the select areas gill net harvest.

Made our maiden voyage Monday on the CR attempting to catch our first summer steelhead of the year there...

Ironically, fishing spin-glows from the beach will turn up jack and adult chinook in the process as well. Fishing 3 rods, we managed 5 bites landed 3 fin-clipped 9-14 pound kings and a shad....

Long story short "IF" there were 5,000+ kings a day moving by we'd have seen quite a few more bites....

I'll wager to say that this 800-1400 king a day passage is what we'll see the next few days, that count corresponds directly with the amount of fish we landed against previous years results while plunking..

Sad sign for sure, unless we had a off the wall late push of spring kings, this run is going to be a bust!

Keith huh
