Does anybody know the law's for carring a firearm on the rez? I don't think there the same as off the rez, they have there own rules?

whats with all the instant id shoot them? no ones life was in danger?and sounds like the kid was old enoph to drive. sounds more like drunks than anything. dont get me wrong but getting punched you would pull the end all? im a CWP holder and all but i would have handled it the same as if it was a anoying drunk group camping next to me would of come to blow like this story. no offence but feel like your life was in danger due to two drunk indian girls on the rez?

If I am on the ground with two "unknown" assailants trying to kick the [censored] out of me, that seems like a bad situation to be in, judgement call.
Only takes a second for things to go VERY wrong, one sharp toed boot to the temple and .. . . . . . . or tweaker pulling a knife. . .. . . .
I don't' take using lethal force lightly, however, if I feel my life or others is in danger (and that includes possbile debilitating injuries) and I use my weapon, the perp is not "walking away with a limp".

No one got killed luckily. The victim here had no way of knowing whether or not his assailants were armed or what their intentions were.

I made the comment of someone walking away with a limp rather sheepishly. If the same thing happened to me or my family and I felt like someone's life may be in danger, someone would have been shot, without question.

Don't want to get shot? Don't sneak in on someone's campsite in the middle of the night and start attacking people.

Thats why I don't like being on any of the rez's. I don't even like stopping at the gas station at queets. The 3 of you couldn't subdue these 2 women? They must have been a couple of tough gals, huh?

That bullcrap happens averywhere, not just on the rez...but when it does, it sure makes me less likely to make a trip over there...it seems that those folks get off the hooks pretty darned easy, by comparison. Would like to know that if I get attacked, justice would be served.

Last time I was in La Push about 18 years ago, my wife called the cops to arrest me for Assault with a Dead Weapon
