I cant seem to get a price on one of these from the loomis web site but think 300 is a little steep. 250.00 is the new asking price for this rod and 275.00 is the asking price for the 1084IMX.

The float rod is two piece but does not have the skamania style handle. I got the rod from Loomis in exchange for a gl3 9'9" that did have the handle you are talking about but was no longer in production. I just dont use it much. I have both rods listed on craigs list now at 200.00 for the float rod and 250.00 for the 1084c IMX. -Tom
