The phone took forever last night. Tried to get it done at 6pm and waited 10 to 15min per app. It would give a conformation # and then nothing.....no music, no wait on the line, just empty air. Then after all that time it would come on again and do the next one. Long process since I was not around a computer and had to place 9 different apps. That will teach me for waiting until the last minute.

I really didn't like finding out that for quality hunts you can only apply for 2, and then for the youth moose, you can apply for 4 but there were only two choices. Sucks ass, this new system. There really was no problem with the old system. You either drew, or you didn't.

There were 5 special permit apps before that I would buy, and two for the boys. Now there are 15 that I would need to buy to hunt what I want. Was $30, now $90. Add in the boys, add another $36.

Sucks a slimey donkey dong.

I see your point Dogfish but in my case it actualy worked out better.

It also didn't make sense to use permits to manage a herd when no one would apply for antlerless for fear or wiping out their quality points.

At least this way I can draw an antlerless while continuing to build points for a quality tag.

My biggist problem with the way this state issue's permits is that we have to buy our tags first. This makes no sense and is not like any of the other western states.

I would have prefered to apply for firearm deer hunts (better seasons fewer people) and could always get an archery tag (better dates) if I didn't draw a firearm permit.

I would also have liked to put in for both eastern and western elk tags but noooooooooooo you have to choose one first????

What about the guy who has a cabin in a permit only area. Sure would be nice to apply for firearm, muzzleloader and archery and just buy the damn tag after the drawing!

Permits are no good without the transport tag so why force folks to choose in May? Unless of course your trying to rape out of state apps!

Hoping for a mountain goat, moose, or a sheep tag. Deer would be nice.

I so agree! I know where'd I get a sheep...see lots of them throughout the year. Got my moose 4 years ago, so that's gone...as for Goat???? I'd have to do some networking if I got drawn for other than the Lake Chelan herd. COME ON!!!! smile

Over $300 for License and tags for the kids and I. I only put in for 3 tags and the kids for 5 or 6 each. I hope something shows up other than an extra doe for me but its what I am expecting. Only put in for that because both kids want to hold out for a buck this year. Ridicules amount of money just to build points. Hope it pays off someday for the kids but it feels about as smart as investing in lotto tickets. If they get drawn for something of quality I will have to talk their uncle or someone into taking them as anywhere I could make it in and out of would be a wast of the tag. When the daughter grows up she better be dating guys that fish and hunt or I am going to be pissed.

Chelan County deer. Never been lucky yet, but several friends have been drawn multiple times for dandy bucks. 4-5K applicants for 20-30 tags per GMU is slim odds. frown
