What would an early 80 vintage Dan Wesson 357 in just okay condition be worth. Have a friend who's Dad had one stolen over 20 years ago, called by the Police Dept. and was told they had recovered it and to come and get it. It is in okay shape but the bluing is very rough, like they tried to make it look different because it was stolen.
I myself don't know much about guns.

Thanks, Steve Ng

It's just a shooter now because of the condition. Somebody "might" pay $100-$200 for a gun in rough shape, probably on the lower end.

It will take some work to make a rough gun look good, and the person who does the work should get the benefit.

Few people will buy the gun on what it "could be", at an inflated price. Kind of like selling a lump of coal, saying it "could be" a diamond if you put enough work into it, and charging the price of a diamond.
