I have to say that I lost my cool when I responded to DriftfishNW. He is a guy who is trying hard to look at things from an open perspective, and i respect that. While I think the things he said are knuckleheaded, I do not think he is a knucklehead. What can I say. Can any parents bail me out?

I think flying an airplane across the country when you don't have a pilot's license and everything you learned about flying is from the internet, is pretty dangerous to the public.

You know, he is not just laughing at the police, he is laughing at all of us who happen to work for what we own and are paying for this manhunt.

His Mom sounds like a piece of work.
Mebbe he'll get caught in Peru and serve time there with Vanderslut.

Our justice system does nothing to persuade criminals from being criminals. Cane the little bastard in front of his hometown and all the youngsters who look up to him might not like the sound of his screams.

Others who say these are just victimless thefts aren't paying the deductibles and premiums on those insurance policies.

Flying and landing a plane aren't very difficult. Most of us could do it first time without instruction.

I think the kid is a prime example of poor parenting.
His mother is the enabler. She thinks the reports of his crimes are overblown. She also suggested he steal a plane and fly to a country that won't extradited him. He followed her advice and then she complains to the media he fled to a country that will extradite.
She's a total whack job.

I agree the kid has talent and to bad he is wasting his life away. He's a crook none the less and I hope he's caught soon.

He is a common criminal. He will get caught eventually and when he does I hope they prosecute him to the full extent of the law. Then all you folks who have this romantic outlaw impression of him can visit him in prison.

Apparently sometime between last night and this afternoon, a 40' boat went missing from one of the marinas on Abaco and is now on Euthra, an island about 40 miles to the south. A few more boat thefts and he'll be in Haiti or Cuba.

The kid must have some talent to continue on the loose in unfamiliar territory.

The funnel narrows, he gets caught, then it will be "oh poor me, oh poor my." " I didn't know." Mama tried to tell me I was wrong, but mama tried.

Prediction. Gets caught with in 2 weeks
Gets 12 months hard time, but out within a year.
12 to 18 months we revisit this.

Just a poor victim of the establishment.
Or, a hero of the internet crime solving gang.

Bonny and Clyde and Dillinger were both hero's in the Depression, you kinda have to root for the little guy when the A-holes from Goldman Sachs and a few other banks aren't doing time..

They couldn't hold him last time. As crafty as this kid seems to be he'll be out again in no time.

Do you guys realize how stupid cops are? Getting away from them isn't hard. The only reason that they catch any criminals at all is that most criminals are actually stupider than they are (or so wacked out on drugs that it makes them that stupid).

The fact that this kid can elude them, doesn't surprise me at all.

You won't think their so stupid when you get robbed.

Anybody want to start a pool on how long he's captive before flying the coop again? I give it less than two years. The first time they let their guard down...he's boltin'!

He will disappear into a program and re emerge in 15 years as a government expert in counter terrorism.
