the more we look at property the more i think we will be in the McCleary area...doenst look like it would be that hard to get to work from there and closer to the salt...although the more we look at it the more we are going to need a different boat...dammit...this one is almost paid off, only owe 5K on it frown

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

The only drag about the McCleary/Oly commute is that you have to go through the gap at Summit Lake, and in the winter storm season, that's a f'ed-up drive.

Your housing dollar will go lot further in McCleary than it will in Olympia, though.

What do you need a new boat for?

we have a db and a 17 ft almaweld...the more and more i think we move that way the more the ocean sounds like where we would fish in salt water...bigger water, bigger boat...at least that is what its sounding like frown

Your boat will be just fine for like what Aunty said, lower halis,John's river,Willipa bay,Bouy-10 and the columbia,Riffe lake etc.If ya move your gonna like it all but that drive thru the black hills in the winter like Dans said.Good luck,

Don't let the Black Hills scare you (past the right amount of respect, of course). As usual, a little common sense and restraint while navigating the hills will keep you on the road. Just think of it as training for your future gig as one of the stars of Ice Road Truckers.

Personally, I have more issues with losing traction on ice in downtown Elma. Main Street is like a skating rink at times. I've never driven through McCleary in icy conditions, but I bet that hill you come down on the way into town can get pretty sketchy on occasion.

I concur that your current boat arsenal is just about perfect for Grays Harbor. In fact, I am duly jealous. I wouldn't change a thing.

hahahaha...thanks guys...sorry i was fishing...fishing sucked in seiku anyway....compared to what its usually at...too funny..ice road truckers...are you kidding me...i just call all my customers and have them meet me at walmart when it snows...hahahahah....got 220 pkgs off that way two years ago in 3 hours....hahahhaha....but really...mostly i have to park and walk down those nasty driveways...i drive a ton with chains on...two years ago i had them on for 3 weeks...broke 6 sets and for the first time in my life i was depressed, and it showed...hardest xmas ive ever had...not going back there...

there has been some twists to the moving thing...crossing my fingers here...on friday the job closed and i was #1 pick with seniorty...so next week i should get a offer letter...but on the same day another job opened, in which they have put me in for it and it closes this friday...whew...i see the doc on thursday and everything in my life is dependent on whether the doc releases me or not...im 90 percent sure he will let me go back to work..im just hoping i dont have to turn down the job in olympia to take a chance at getting the job in tacoma...tacoma will be closer and give us more time to save up some cash to buy a house or boat that we really want...and maybe ill get my deisel jetta i want...cross your fingers for me....

ice road truckers...hahahahah...chains suck....hahahahhahahahaha
