Somebody queue the Price is Right loser music.

Wow, not only did "The Savior" fall flat on his face, but the announcers were trashing on him relentlessly. Any bets he'll be throwing a baseball instead of a football next year?

Great game to fall asleep to on the couch anyway.

Jake never got his chit together, our run defense looked like a bunch of twelve year olds, and our kick coverage might be the worse ever by a major college team...combine those with a good team like Nebraska, and it's a recipe for exactly what happened...a disaster.

At least WSU got their asses handed to them again...they've got about eight more of those to go. They'd have given up 183 points to Nebraska today, if they had actually scheduled any good teams.

Watching the PondCrappers in a squeaker over Portland State...good scheduling move.

4 completed passes, and the protection wasn't that bad. Polk should be getting 25+ carries per game. I don't see them winning more than 4 games at the most, prolly closer to 3. Betcha Locker is kicking himself for pissing away 50 million and half of that Guaranteed money.

His stock has to be falling...I can think of 3-4 QB'S I'd rather have.

1. Luck.
2. Robinson.
3.Mallet.
4.Locker/Foles.

We switched the channel between the Daschunds and the Cougs. At least the WSU vs SMU game was competitive. WSU has a way to go but it's better than last year. Back in 1977 the Throwin Samoan beat Nebraska in Lincoln 19-10. Got a standing ovation from the Husker fans.

Just got home from the Beav struggle. Yikes... that was a sad game. And the people in the two dozen or so seats in my vicinity will forever know what tuna Grundens stink like rofl At least I could blame the smell on our sorry ass excuse for a defense. .Beavs - Dawgs could be a grudgematch.

Locker goes 75+ on at least 6 completions, only 1 pick, though two fumbles seem likely... Beavs still win by 7. rofl

Oh sure.................laugh it up.

The funny thing is, no matter how bad Jake blows, he'll make more in his first year in the work force than all of you have made in your lifetimes.........combined.

Sad, isn't it?

And he probably won't show up on your job site next week and clown you about it because he's a classy kid.

And the Coogers in the group can just go set yourselves on fire. The Coogs lost to SMU and you're shooting off your pieholes about UW getting throttled by Nebraska? Why?

Oh, that's right..............because you're Coogers, and that's the kind of stupid sh!t Coogers do.

No. I'm not riled up about that loss at all. mad

Dan, truly sorry about your team's loss. Perhaps we'll just have to kill some brats in December together so we can lament our miserable financial state in comparison to newly-minted pro athletes. I'll buy the Alaskan Amber.

Lost the core of the D, the ML, during practice, and one wonders if that hand injury for Locker last week effected him or was it just National TV nerves. His worse performance by far.

Things you should have learned last week if you are smart:

1) Jake Locker is a world class athlete and really a below average college Q much less a NFL Q..."now starting in Left Field for the Tacoma Rainiers, JAAAKKKEEE Lockeerrr!!"

2) ASU is WAY better than predicted, wont click every game this year but with 21 underclassmen starting the future looks GOOD.

3) Oregon has the #1 ranked O and the #1 ranked D in the NATION...dont remember ever seeing that stat a month into the season. ASU will give em a game at home but Oregon could easily be the best team in the country.

4) WSU is a freaking high school team. SMU had lost 37 straight games to D1 opponents and throttled the Cougs. They are easily the worst D1 team in the nation.

5) As Beavs will find out this weekend BSU is one of the 4 best teams in the country. Problem is it looks like 4-6 teams could run the table this year and there is no way you can say BSU makes the top 2 under current BS college system.

Arizona, as much as I hate to say it,will be the only Pac team to give Oregon a run for the Roses...

Until College football gets a PLAYOFF, it will always be 2nd tier to the NFL.

GO DEVILS!!!!

1) Jake Locker is a world class athlete.

Everyone agrees then.

2) ASU is WAY better than predicted.

Or Wisconsin is worse than predicted. Judging by ASU's schedule every year the latter is most likely true.

3) Oregon has the #1 ranked O and the #1 ranked D in the NATION.

Against nobody. Should never be #1 anything unless you play the big boys.

4) WSU is a freaking high school team.

If you flunk out of high school you go to WSU for more high school.

5) As Beavs will find out this weekend BSU is one of the 4 best teams in the country.

BSU should never ever be considered for a national championship unless they decide to get a big boys schedule and get rid of the gimmick blue field.

Arizona, as much as I hate to say it, OWNS ASU!

Locker has never been an accurate passer. That's why I had to laugh all summer when they were talking about him as a Heisman candidate. Not to jump on the kid but he has never had touch or accuracy when passing. Class act no doubt but #1 draft pick?

They probably looked good in the spring game because that defense is about as good as Lindsay Lohans' when someone slides the mirror and straw across the table.

When you overthrow or underthrow the ball 3 yards either way on a consistent basis then it doesn't mattere what the receivers do. I've been watching them long enough to know that isn't accuracy.

Hate to say it but have to agree with ya here.

Third or Fouth rounder tops. Wntrrun hit the nail on the head,.... he never was an accurate passer.

UW should have made him a tailback two years ago.

The kid's got class and I'm rooting for him. No way is he an upper echelon NFL QB.

BYU QB rating: 123.36
syracuse: 180.23
Nebraska: 46.32

Looks like one bad game to me.

Through his junior season, ranks No. 6 on the UW career passing yardage list with 5,374 yards, No. 5 in career attempts (815), No. 6 in completions (435), and tied for No. 3 in touchdown passes (36) (and he missed 3/4 of a season and remember the game he went out with the neck injury)

2009
3,188 yards of total offense ranked second in UW history and led the Pac-10 Conference.

2008
injured

2007
Named the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year. Set UW record for passing yards by a freshman 2,062 and touchdown passes by a freshman (14).

Something Pullman has rarely seen. That was the mistake with Leaf's overrating. The QB's that came before were just that bad.

This thread is FAR more entertaining than the Apple Cup. Too bad that battle of the gridiron won't even make Fox Sports NW this year. frown rofl

You know that list of the "twenty percenters" who think Obama is a muslim, born in Kenya, and that Saddam Hussein personally flew a plane into the Sears Building in Chicago?

Add those who think the Cougs are not going to be beat to a pulp by the Dawgs this year to the list...

Do a quick survey of Dawg fans and Coog fans, and I think you'll find that nearly 80% of the Coog fans listen to Beck...Glen Beck.

Yer in good company, KK.

If all you limpwristed pondcrappers, barkrats, and Coogers put all your wins against UW together, then ONE of you clowns could say you were at least even with Washington.

But since we've been beating the three of you like a gong since the turn of the century, you'd have to resort to something like that.

You can spout about living in the past, but that's what all this "6 in a row" bullsh!t is, too. Living in the past.

And in the fairly recent past.............in fact in this decade.......Washington won a Rose Bowl, the goal of all Pac-10 teams. The most recent Rose Bowl win for any of you clowns was 6 decades ago..............and if we're talking the Coogers and Pondcrappers, you going back to the war time.............WWI, that is. rofl

You should also face the fact that it's going to be back to beating the gong again pretty soon.

We suck, I know it, but you dopes have been sucking mightily throughout history, and now that you (barkrats, and pondcrappers......the Coogers suck worse than we do) have a brief respite from it, you talk like we should get used to it.

Not going to happen.

Oh yeah..........all you Coogers, pondcrappers and brakrats can go to hell. smile

12-0

You wouldn't know anything about that either, would you?

How about this one? 30-0.

That's what the remnants of that 0-12 team did to your sorry asses last year.

Now's about the right time for you to go set yourself on fire Mr. Cooger.

Watching the Sundevils kick the snot out of the Pondcrappers right now and it dawned on me that Jake Locker might not even be in the top 5 QB's in the Pac 10. This kid from ASU looks pretty good.

Walden was 3-6 against Washington, but the Cougs were strong in the 82-85 time span against the other 3 NW schools.

It reminds me of the story about the blind squirrel finding a nut. smile

God I hate that f'n blue turf.

WSU is 5-0 vs BSU and undefeated on blue turf. I think the last game was 2002. Eastern Washington painted their turf red. Maybe they should paint Martin Crimson and Gray.

In any case, 1-12 isn't exactly something you want to write home about... grin

If 11 points is a shellacking, would 15 be a nuking?
BSU isn't a top ten team, so stop the charade.
Holes are overrated as well, ASU ran and passed all over them, but to many ASU turnovers sealed the deal.

Charade? How/why do people still have doubts this program? I stopped doubting when they beat Oklahoma in the '06 Fiesta Bowl (best bowl game EVER), a game NOBODY thought they could win. Add another undefeated season and BCS bowl victory last year. I think they have more than proven they can hang with any team on any day. They have a good offense, a good defense, and a great coach. What would they have to do to prove to you they are a top ten team, join the SEC and win all their games?

And the blue turf is cool...you all know it. grin

OSU was this years biggest game for BSU, V Tech was the second, the rest of their schedule is with nobody's, and I mean nobody's.
FYI BSU is 0-2 at Beaverville.
To be considered a top ten team, you need to play regular season teams other than Toledo and New Mexico State, until they move to a real D1 league, it's just a charade.

You mean the same Toledo that beat Purdue at home yesterday? Is Purdue in a real D1 league?

Boise's toughest conference game remaining is against Nevada. The same Nevada team that absolutely beat the stuffing out of Cal 52-31 just two weeks ago. Is Cal in a real D1 league? If Nevada is a nobody, what does that make Cal?

UW is 2-0 against BSU, and I'm not from Oregon.

Any other brilliant observations you want to make, Coog fan?

Purple is the color of kings.

"The Assyrian came down like the wolf on the fold,
And his cohorts were gleaming in purple and gold;
And the sheen of their spears was like stars on the sea,
When the blue wave rolls nightly on deep Galilee."

Crimson and Gray is the color of Coogs............and somebody who just got their ass kicked around a parking lot.

The offspring of one of them probably knocked up your grandma.........or your grandma's grandma.

Sounds like the Assyrians have the same problem winning the RB that the Coogers have. They seems to be working in the same time frame at least.

Don't fret Ike the Dawgs will be fine. Too easy in the early season to think we "suck" or we're the "greatest."

Huskies got killed by their awful early season scheduling again. The Husker's had 8 weeks to prepare for the Dawgs while we had four days to prepare for them. Basically the Dawgs game films where out there while the Huskers didn't show anything in their lead up games especailly concerning coverages that obvously Sark/Locker never figured out. Should have just run the damn ball!

Case in point who would have thought UCLA would turn it around after the Stanford debacle? This also helped ASU as they had 10 weeks to prepare for Oregon while the Pondcrappers where playing real football teams. Reading the SC quotes from yesterday they even threw some new stuff in there "just to give Sark something to worry about." (along with, "They weren't that good. You (apparently the reporter asking the question) could have gone out there and run.'' rofl) Certianly helped the Dawgs last year against SC as they had to go with their base offense with a rookie QB. Just the nature of the game nowadays.

Also getting game experiance for 14 true freshmen so they should get better as the season progresses. Hopefully!

Gonna be close next week but the Dawgs will probably mess something up late like they usualy do at Memorial Coliseum frown

Still gonna be tuff to get to six wins though. Pac looking tougher this year!

Then there's the Cougar (so called) fans out there.

We all know you don't really root for or expect anything out of the Cougars and that your whole world revolves on the misbegotten belief that if the Huskie's suck we all are half the losers that you are but on a day where the Huskie's had a bye you would think that at least a few of you would have gone to Martin Stadium to see your Pac-10 opener but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

24,000 at Martin Stadium. What a freaking joke!!!!!

Your team is a joke. Your fans are a joke! Just the fact that you rely on tax payer money to run your sports program is a joke! I can't think of anything about WSU that is not a joke.

I'm a Husky fan and I've been to more games in Martin Stadium then any of you. (THAT's A PERIOD!)

Didn't miss an Apple Cup until I was in my late 30's so that's about 15 or so right there.

Then my older brother went to school there for four years and I was his ah, runner at that time. Folks would lend me their car to attend college football games. They must have thought a teenager at Pullman party's was healthy or something smile So that's another 10 games or so.

Then one of my high school teammates started for four years there and I went to most of his home games. By this time I was well received on campus wink So there's another 20 or so.

How embarrassing is that? A Husky fan who's been to more games in Martin Stadium then virtually every Alum!

I know of only one Boug fan who is actually a booster, has season tickets and travels to see one road game a year. He's a fan-You all are an embarrassment! Anybody else here know a booster and a season ticket holder? Didn't think so!

So I suppose if hoping the Huskie's lose gets a rise out of your little itty bitty penises rather then hoping the Bougs actually win a game then so be it frown

24,000 for the Pac-10 opener. How sad! I think it's about time the Pac-10 kick you all to the curb!!!
