Jake never got his chit together, our run defense looked like a bunch of twelve year olds, and our kick coverage might be the worse ever by a major college team...combine those with a good team like Nebraska, and it's a recipe for exactly what happened...a disaster.

At least WSU got their asses handed to them again...they've got about eight more of those to go. They'd have given up 183 points to Nebraska today, if they had actually scheduled any good teams.
Watching the PondCrappers in a squeaker over Portland State...good scheduling move.

4 completed passes, and the protection wasn't that bad. Polk should be getting 25+ carries per game. I don't see them winning more than 4 games at the most, prolly closer to 3. Betcha Locker is kicking himself for pissing away 50 million and half of that Guaranteed money.
His stock has to be falling...I can think of 3-4 QB'S I'd rather have.
1. Luck.
2. Robinson.
3.Mallet.
4.Locker/Foles.

WSU lost to a crappy SMU team...at least UW played a good team, and actually looked reasonably good a few times in the first half...

We switched the channel between the Daschunds and the Cougs. At least the WSU vs SMU game was competitive. WSU has a way to go but it's better than last year. Back in 1977 the Throwin Samoan beat Nebraska in Lincoln 19-10. Got a standing ovation from the Husker fans.

Just got home from the Beav struggle. Yikes... that was a sad game. And the people in the two dozen or so seats in my vicinity will forever know what tuna Grundens stink like At least I could blame the smell on our sorry ass excuse for a defense. .Beavs - Dawgs could be a grudgematch. Locker goes 75+ on at least 6 completions, only 1 pick, though two fumbles seem likely... Beavs still win by 7.

Cornhuskers run game rolled off 13 straight run plays for 208 yards and three touchdowns at the end of the second and beginning of the third quarters. I guess that wasn't one the times when the Dachshunds looked reasonably good, along with the beginning of the game, and towards the end. What, did they look good running out of the tunnel or something ?  Dawgs just got out coached and out played. Couldn't step up the D line play to those corn fed, well coached young men.
