Can anyone recommend a lodge/cabin/B&B on the Sol Duc that has good riverfront for fall salmon fishing from the bank? More concerned about the location and amount of river access then I am about the quality of the lodging. Thanks.

Do a search on Sol Duc cabins.......came up with a few...Phone number was there...

Edwards Cabin and Basically Mobile are the only two places Ive stayed on the Duc, but I think both are no longer operating.

Main problem you'll find, is few are on "good" fall salmon spots ... and those few that are close will be far different in terms of being good or crappy if the water is high or low.

Edwards tore down his shack (I loved that little cabin) and built a beauty two story house with a fantastic view of the river. They don't rent it out anymore. You can see his place once you drop down from the Hatchery. Back up 5 years and that is what you are looking for. I think Bob put me on it from a post just like this one.
