Try Kapowsin or Whitman in Pierce County Both have very ample panfish around the shore and in the pads.

Try Bay Lake in Pierce County. My husband & I were there the other nite & caught about 100 between us withing 2 hours. Pesky little buggers wouldn't leave our flies alone and we were trying for trout.
Oh wait, you're in Canada, sorry Bay Lake is in the South Puget Sound-don't know if you want to drive that far!!
:p

I've been looking for a good bluegill lake myself. It appears that Silver down in Cowlitz county in the best. Potholes Reservoir looks pretty good too. I have fished 5 mile lake and caught a couple of medium size ones. Everywhere else I have caught the little guys.

Have you tried American in Pierce County? It has a ton of pan fish.

Last time they printed the records Moses Lake had it. I believe it was about 2 1/2 lbs. Why don't they print them anymore? Alittle late thinking about sunfish. Tell me when and where and I can tell you how. Last turney I took 2 of the 3 first places. Couldn't keep that little guy holding on my red worm long enough to put him in the boat, had to settle for a 2nd on that one.

do any of these lakes mentioned have good panfishing in January?? or is this a spring-fall fishery??
Sawyer Lake in Pierce County has been good during the winter for perch in the past, but i never looked for crappie or bluegill when i was there.

I think Kress lake is in pierce county. It has a good panfish population. The columbia river slews have some good panfish populations too.
