The NBA is dead to me. I lost all interest after Larry and Magic retired.

It became like big time wrestling to me when M. Jordan became bigger than the game and above the rules. Haven't watched a game in many years.

To me (obviously based on my age), the glory days were Payton, Kemp, and Big Smooth. Damn, I miss those times...

Still, I can respect what these fans are trying to do. They're defintely passionate about it which is cool to see.

Big Smooth would work out at the same gym as me in West Seattle ( allstar fitness) super nice guy...would talk ball as we did the Eliptical's.

Kemp in his heyday was incredible. I don't think we will ever see a forward play like that again.

Rewind a few years....Spencer Haywood, Gus Williams,Freddie Brown,Slick Watts, Xavier Mcdaniels, Tom Chambers, Dale Ellis. The golden years of the NBA.

The rumor floating around is that Steve Balmer liquidated 2 billion in assets the other day. If this is the case and he is working on an NBA team for Seattle, I have mixed feelings.

I'm still pissed at Shultz, the politicians particularly that moron Mayor Nickels, and of course that weasel David Stern who helped orchestrate the entire hijacking. I haven't watched an NBA game, read an article or watched a highlight since my team left town.

I've seen the documentary that was put out by the SOS guys a while back and it pissed me off even more.

The NBA is very rigged. Refs have even come forward saying so.

That makes it as entertaining to watch--knowing the outcome is pre-determined by Atlantic City and LV bookies far in advance-- as synchronized swimming.

The only thing that happened when The Sonics left Seattle is the domestic violence rate in South Seattle dropped 30% and the robberies and drive by shootings around Key Arena declined by 500%.

Good riddance.

I hate the NBA,however for the past 4-5 season's I have found myself & the wife enjoying the finals.Don't watch a game all season but some how get roped into watching what really counts.Good luck,

Not a NBA fan.
As long as there is the NFL, college football and college basketball, I'm good sports wise.

Hard to beat a good high school match up with traditional rivalries, a season on the line, and all that energy and exhuberance packed into a small gym or stadium. Throw in an admission price of less than $10, cheap concessions and free parking. Best sports deal in town.

i too have jumped ship from the nba. the sonic move was thelast straw.

Only thing cool about this would be the Chinark at half court...
