The paddles are trademark Lew Childre and Browning at one time had a relationship with Lew's.
Any markings at all on the reel ?

From the size of the housing it looks like it has a clutch bearing so that would make no older than early nineties.

I see no marking's inside or out

It is a browning from I would say abought 1995
I have every box and instruction sheet from all the reels I have bought except this one. It was a gift and is actually a sweet reel just needs an anti reverse bearing and some drag washer's.

Thanks for the help.

Seems like there is a guy on eBay that specializes in Lew Childre (Lew's Speed Spool) reels and parts.

The parts you need, AR bearing/drag washers more than likely will match up with currently available parts.
If the AR bearing is Shimano-style you might be able to carefully push it out, disassemble and clean it. Sometimes someone errantly packs grease into these which can ruin the AR effect. Very lightly oil these AR bearings (or run them dry if no salt exposure)

A digital caliper is very useful when matching up parts for out-of-production reels. Here's the one I have......they put them on special every now and then for 1/2 price or free with an order.

Thank You
The AR bearing is a bit corroded, I can get it apart but would like to just replace it. I have some calipers so I will try to match something up.

I also emailed Lew's to see if they have any insight.(never heard of them before)

Thank you again, figured somebody here could point me in the right direction..

i go through OD frequently on parts. trust me they only carry so many parts. they have also told me to go and call manufacturer for parts cause they have poor availabilty in recieving parts. so i've had at times zero success with OD when someone hands me a reel that is 10/15 years old, that may have not been a popular reel to begin with.

DD has a good point in that the AR bearing might be one that could be from another make. worth trying.
