Yeah, suspect UK plays "a little more D" tonight than Virginia did last night... we are young, but not lacking confidence by any means ... love how Holiday has stepped up his game... we have a lot of athletic bigs above 6'4 who can light 'er up from the outside .. really like Wilcox and Gaddy looks to have matured during off-season ... should be a serious test tonight... they pull this "W" off and they are top-ten in my book....

Poor shooting, turnovers and offensive rebounds hurt us the entire game.
I like the way we came back in the first half.
Looked like the Pac 10 football refs moved to basketball in the 2nd half. Would have liked to see the Dawgs pull it out, but one game doesn't make the season.

It wasn't pathetic...it turned into the knock down, drag out I predicted...we missed foul shots in the last few minutes, Thomas couldn't make a shot from the field...they didn't make many foul shots in the beginning, but they made them down the stretch when they really needed them.

We couldn't run over them like we did to Virginia last night, so we had to play a lot more physical of a game, and we proved we could do it. Our shot blocking was fantastic, but we gave up far too many offensive rebounds to KU, and in the long run, that was the difference. I haven't looked at the line, but I bet we gave up at least 20 offensive rebounds, and probably got at least 20 points off of them...take out six or eight of those rebounds, and we would have won.

The good thing is that giving up those rebounds wasn't a physical problem, it was a positioning problem, and we have good enough coaches to fix that...but I sure would have liked to see them fix it during the game. We might have won if they had.

Thomas shooting poorly, and too many offensive rebounds for KU...that was the difference. Just a bad night for Thomas, and a problem that can be fixed with the players we have...overall, not a big deal, but it would have been great to beat a top 10 team this early in the season.

Strangely enough, I think the consolation game will be the best game tomorrow...the two teams that should be in the final will be playing each other, and we'll see how well our coaches can fix the rebound issue, and if Thomas can come back from a bad game, which he's proven he can do.

It was an "entertaining game".... the DAWGS played well at times and probably could have won this game with a few things going there way... they are extremely talented, and I appreciated there defensive effort tonight, especially with the 7-footer in the middle... he is raw, but definitely has some skills... feel they still are lacking a true point gaurd... IT and Gaddy appear to be "2 gaurds" and roles need to be further defined... one of them needs to be the floor general and distribute the ball... it's early on.... but I hope Romar can define roles and they find a "true" point gaurd... all and all..... really like this team and look forward to seeing them match up with Michigan State tmrw....GO DAWGS !!

I used to think Coogs just didn't know any better...then I figured that they were smart enough to know better, but were just full of alumnus zeal (no one likes the coogs unless they are an alumnus)...after seeing them in action here, I've changed my mind about them again.

Well, MSU and UW just played a killer game, and even though MSU won, that's the game I thought should be the championship game in Maui...both teams looked really good.

If we had played that well last night we would have kicked KU's butt.
