I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about the fishing in the pasayten river. Is it any good? I looks like it could have a lot of potential ona map. If you know anything about the pasayten then please respond.

Is the spelling correct. The only thing close to what you spelled is Peshastin Creek. And that is closed waters. According to the "regs". Jim S. smile

If it is the Peshastin you are refering to, you would be better to take a gold pan than a fishing rod.. smile

Pasayten River is a small river (more like a creek) located north of the North Cascades pass in the wilderness area. It flows into Canada. It's a long hike from anywhere. It's fished rarely by
anyone except the headwaters near Harts pass where mostly small brookies are avaliable. I think it has rainbows and also Dolly Varden in the lower reaches. I've never fished it myself and if you do you'll be one of the few who ever have.

I just looked this place up on one of my maps. That would be one hell of a hike just to fish the head waters. I noticed that there is a 4 wheel drive road up as far as Harts Pass, but I don't think that I would go there any time soon. Jim S. smile
