Cool thread. I like many of the suggestions posted thus far, but I think Ax Men star Shelby Stanga would be about as much fun as company gets, fishing or otherwise.


Reasons:
1. After launching the boat, Shelby would likely treat you to his token phrase: "OK,ere we go!!"
2. When he hooked a big fish, he'd exclaim "HO!," followed by some incomprehensible but clearly excited phrase ending in "Paw Paw!"
3. If the fish were being tight-lipped, Shelby would dive in and rustle up a limit with his bare hands in no time.
4. If rustling failed, he wouldn't be afraid to deploy a pipe bomb to get the job done.

If Shelby's not available, I think it would be pretty cool to fish with Clint Eastwood. Imagine the one-liners he could come up with if you got low-holed or otherwise subjected to poor fishing etiquette.... If all our enforcement officers were clones of Clint, I bet we'd see a lot less BS on our rivers.
