I have had this boat for about 7 years, and killed hundreds of fish on her. But I recently was fortunate enough to acquire a newer, larger boat, so the Job Site doesn't get used much. In a nutshell, she is a great hull with a solid motor and a lot going for her, but she needs somebody to give her some tlc. Clean her up a bit, tackle a couple of minor projects, and you will have a fishing machine to last you a long time.
19.5' Tiderunner walkaround cuddy cabin. Large cockpit and high gunwales make for an awesome fishing platform. Deep V hull and solid fiberglass (thick hull, no wood) construction make her an extremely seaworthy vessel. I have had her over the Grays Harbor bar and the Columbia Bar dozens of times, and weathered some really rough seas with no concerns. I've never buried the bow or had green water on the windshield. She has an Evinrude 130 carburated 2 stroke main motor on a bracket (no splash well, no dog house). She'll go mid 30's with everything optimal, and she gets about 2.5 mpg.
Additional accessories:
AM/FM/CD marine stereo with waterproof marine speakers.
Magellan GPS chartplotter with a N. Washington Coast chart chip in it. You may not be able to load alternate charts on it.
Two Scotty electric downriggers with extendable booms.
Danforth anchor mounted on the pulpit with 10 feet of chain and 150' of rode in the forward rode locker.
Sink (that I never use).
Two removable fish wells with lots of bilge storage below.
Dual deep cell batteries with Perko switch.
Lighted compass on helm.
Locking cuddy cabin.
Sleeps two if you're cozy.
Navigation and anchor lights.
One windshield wiper.
Black Sunbrella top with clear side windows. A little rough but still keeps the rain and sun off of you.
Uniden VHF radio with GOOD 8' Shakespeare antenna.
Radar arch that acturally forms a sort of roll cage around the soft top - handy when making your way to the bow.
Cuddy hatches - ONe on the bow that you can lock open or shut and climb through, two vents on the sides.
The good and the bad:
The main motor is a freaking tank. I really think it's immortal. It has less than 400 hours and I think it will run forever. I bought it in 2006ish, but it is a 1997 motor I think. It was NEW IN THE CRATE then, as it had been sitting on the shelf of a boat dealer on Lake Union for many years. I had a problem the last time out that I think I have diagnosed but I haven't fixed. It stuttered and would not rev fully, but it was intermittent. Then I saw that the fuel tank vent is crimped (the part that is a soft copper pipe). I'm betting that as soon as somebody replaces it with a vent that actually lets air in, the problem will be fixed. But I can't warranty that.
There is a crack in the radar arch that appeared this year.
There is a crack where the cockpit deck meets the cabin wall that has been there since before I bought her, and the crack has not grown or changed in all that time.
The trailer is rough. It's a dual axel Shorelander galvanized trailer, but the brakes don't work and will need to be completely reworked.
The bottom paint is rmostly gone and she looks a little mangy because of it. I didn't worry about her because I never moored her for long.
I haven't figured out how to post photos here.
