The Al Gore "jokes" remind me of Leno telling Viagra or Lewinsky "jokes".

I wonder if they will find manbearpig in Houston.

Yeah, pretty much played out. The truth is prolly somewhere in the middle. I just thought the snow in Houston was crazy.

It is funny that every time it's cold in the summer that the RWWJ's here trot out their Al Gore and global climate change jokes, but are oddly silent when all this crazy $hit is going on...

Just got off the phone with my Sis, the high in Tucson was 34 and the low was 17,both records.

How would you know if any evidence you saw was credible?

"Credible", in conversations like this, usually means "conforms to my preconceived notions"..."not credible" means "I don't like it".

Al Gore has no credentials in the field of Science, then he lectures us about carbon footprints etc... coming from a guy who owns 4 mega mansions and flies around in a private jet. No bigger f'n hypocrite than that POS.

Well guys go to the end of the Roman Empire are take a peek at what historians say the climate was, much warmer by the way. Then the Little Ice Age known also in European history as the Dark Ages. The Little Ice Age came on very fast and if not for developing tubers ( potatoes ect ) the human loss would have been much worse which was a loss of about 1/3 of the population, not counting the disease and everything else.

The climate has been warming again since the end of the Little Ice Age with ups and downs. Tambora & Krakatoa ( volcanoes ) altered the climate for between 5 to 10 years each. ( British Navy Records ) All that said the planets climate changes with the axis tilt that is on a 10000 year flip thing, lunar, and volcanoes ( the one that built Eastern Washington nearly wiped out the planet as did the India one but both were in prehistoric times ) and the atmosphere.

All that said pouring naturally stored carbon into the air and poisoning the oceans and removing vegetation can not help but do something but just what? The same people that started off calling it global warming caused only by human released carbon are the same bunch that in the seventies said another Little Ice Age was close at hand. When that did not pan out they went to climate change and are they right. Yup been going up for the last few centuries but we are not near what it was in the Roman times yet. So if the planets climate has cycles what are our carbon releases doing? Don't know but once before the carbon content built up and the oceans warmed up enough to release the methane trapped on the ocean floor. End result? The global warming ended up freezing the whole planet.

Yup it is snowing in Houston.

The Arctic ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consulafft, at Bergen , Norway. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone.

Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.

Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic,while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds. Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable.

By the way, I neglected to mention that this report was from a November 2, 1922 Washington Post article as reported by the AP and Washington Times.

There used to be something like 80 Million salmon going up the Columbia River and its tributaries...several years ago, it was down to like 6 million. Now it's up to about ten or twelve million...

Even with the variable bounces up and down, the overall trend is significantly downward.

Who is going to step up and tell us string theory is bunk because you're a theoretical physicist, and you already wrote the equation that proved the theory false?

Who is going to pretend they know all the economic effects of the stimulus plan.............oh, never mind, Hank already took care of that.

Who is going to give us the yay or nay on the existance of extraterrestrial life..............because they've been all over the universe to look around.
