Once in a great while I post while imbibing. No wonder my posts are so boringly detailed, technical, and accurate. Sorry for being a buzzkill.

I save the booze for Friday & Saturday night's as I'm not that good of a drunk during the week.Work sucks as it is so why make it worse with a hang over I did plenty of that up until 15 years ago.So I post sober every post.I think I'd be banned if I posted with a good buzz,I just wouldn't be able to hold back on some of the chit I read on here @ times. The problem is I drink enough on the weekends to make up for my lack of boozin during the week,so monday's are, well monday's.I also make up for it on my 8-9 day vacation every year to bouy-10 as i end up needing to go back to work to sober up and take a vaca from vaca.Good luck,
SZ

I as well don't drink during the week. Too much going on at work to be subpar.

I like to drink when the situation calls for it. That means, when grilling, watching a football game, or in the myriad social situations where alcohol is casually consumed. Those activities are all much more fun than looking at the internet.

I don't drink during the week either (very often). I have clients who are pretty much drunks and it is just easier not to offend them when they are drinking at lunch on a Tuesday. So I have a cocktail to keep the meeting moving smoothly along.

That's OK Stam. I've known a few people who couldn't work well when completely sober. I don't think I could be one of them, but there are those days when I think I shouldn't have to do my work sober.

I like beer or wine with dinner, starting with when I'm making the dinner, then while eating it, and if there's any left in the bottle, finish it off after dinner watching a bit of TV. And if the weather calls for it while fishing, beer with lunch is a quality of life thing. I've never understood those who can drink ice cold beer when it's freezing cold out though.

Some would say I'm a lightweight. I like booze in moderation. Getting stumbling drunk, puking my guts out, and hung over the next day just ain't my idea of quality living. Besides, with an alcoholic father and then step-father, I'm not keen on the dark side of booze.

Hank, there's a lot of "all or nothing" types. Too bad, I think booze in moderation enhances meals and social occasions as well. I guess I like it too much to abuse it regularly. Fortunately it doesn't take over.

Irie, I'm shocked and dismayed! Not!

Left there around 2:00 PM and took a taxi home. It was Mother's Day so I thought it would be a good idea to call good ol' Mom and I did.

A couple of days later I went to my Dad's house and he asked if I had talked to my mother lately. I proudly told him I had called her just the Sunday before. He told me I was a stupid fuk because I was loaded when I called and I hurt her feelings badly.

That was in '94 and I haven't had a drink since that day.

I'm proud to say I don't drink or smoke.
