Hey guys,

Anyone know of any cool tackle shops in Portland I should check out while I am there? Taking the girlfriend to Portland for Valentine day and wanted to hit a tackle shop while I am there, lol.

Fisherman's Marine supply in Delta Park or Oregon City. Best tackle shops I've ever worked in and I've worked at most of them. If they don't have something, it probably doesn't catch fish.

I can't wait until the new one gets opened in Tigard!!!

I second that. Hands down the best in Oregon. It is just to far for me to go most of the time. The Tigard store will be a great option soon.

I know a lot of people go to Great American Tackle in Clackamas. He is not as big but only carries what fisherman want and use. Nice guy too with some cool little displays, like a fish tank so you can see what jigs look like under the water as well as other lures.

Hey guys,

Thanks for pointing me to Fisherman's Marine! It was awesome, picked up some gear and got SHOW PRICES! They were pretty wiped out on a lot of the stuff that I wanted, but I still got some necessities for a good price!
I will have to check out Great American tomorrow before we head back!

Again, thanks everyone!

Eddy

Eddy

They are pretty much wiped out of anything I ever need when I'm down there. That shop used to be great but anymore is just a dumping ground for cheap import crud with zero experience manning the tackle counter. Sorry but it doesn't hold a candle to Ted's, Three Rivers, Sportco, or Auburn for that matter. Bob's would be worth hitting on your way back up. I'd pass on Great American nothing to really see.
