It paints a nice picture of the cohesion behind banks and our government.

The author nailed it! The revolving door he spoke of essentially guarantees the corrupt banker that unless you really-really-really mess up, your going to get off scott-free for any lucrative crime. The inner circles at the cocktail party that all made a mint on the shady deal included.

Makes me think about this index a saw a while back.

This corruption index paints the U.S. as a cool "safe haven" in a world full of shady places, when ironically, the corruption taking place in the U.S is at far greater magnitudes in terms of the money changing hands.

Wow, really makes me want to run right out and put more of my hard earned cash into some big soul less bank.

The main difference between the US political pay offs and the political payoffs in a country rated as being 'corrupt' are the mechanisms set up here to make it harder to follow the money. In a basic way, corrupt government officals are more honest as they don't deny that fact that they're being paid off.

Yep, gave up the mega bank last year for a community bank.

Been banking via my community credit union for 19 years now. Hated the mega banks.
