3 pages, and no repost of the cruise ship offering guaranteed shooting at pirates ?

Oh yeah, that was good! Cape Horn Cruises by Carnival. 50 cal on every rail on every deck, and unlimited ammo for all cruise guests. If you don't kill a pirate, your cruise fee refunded.

That should sell well.

The captured pirates are Sunni muslims. We need to force feed them bacon, brand their foreheads with a US Christian cross and see how they swim from 100 miles out.

The only way to stop, "I ain't got nothin' to lose and everything to gain." attitudes is to kill them. Unless you want to find a way for them to make a living, the pirates will continue to take their chances. I think once they got a payoff, the rest is a natural consequence. They are not likely to quit.

Maybe they thought their cargo of bibles gave them a "One Free Miracle- redeemable anytime" card.

I'm with Df and Gh on this.

Call me a pussy, but you will not find me taking my family to Mexico, to Haiti, Jamaica, on a boat trip off the east coast of Africa, hiking along the Iraq/Iran border, or anywhere else where the rule of law doesn't keep criminals somewhat in check.

Being aware of your surroundings protects you only so much. I just think these folks were plainly unaware of the danger, and hopelessly arrogant.
