This should be a reality check, the quake in Japan happened in a subduction zone located 70 miles offshore. The Cascadia subduction zone is located 80 miles off the Oregon coast, this is what we are potentially looking at happening right here.

Find a copy of Curt Gentry's "Last Days of the Late Great State of California". Even though it was written something like 40 years ago it is pretty interesting when it has a 'quake destroy CA. And then looks at the impact that would cause the US.

Lots of info out there to read about, some of it really can grab ya and get ya thinking... Odd to think that one article said there's a high percentage chance that we could have a quake of the same magnitude off Southern Oregon/Northern California within 50 years resulting in a similar type tsunami... Hard to beleive it will happen here, someday....
I wonder how far it would make it into Forks assuming it was a 25-30 footer?

Forks altitude at the airport is 299' Oh........ What if a 350' wave came? Keith Then most of Washington's population would be in dire straights. Not too likely to happen, but................
